I own you (Mitsuki x Reader Modern)

Chapter 12

Before you could even say a word, the tone on Mitsuki's phone was heard. Mitsuki check his phone and widen his eyes.

"Sorry, I have to take this." He told you and you nod.

Mitsuki turned around away from you.

"Hello?" You heard him say.

"I'm really sorry Ma'am, I got distracted. I'll be there very soon." He ended the call and turned around to face you. "I... have to go."

Sadness and disappointment was shown in his face as he didn't make any eye contact with you. He took your hand and lead you out of the forest. You wanted to ask him who the person was on the phone but you didn't because you felt that you weren't in the right place for that. You made it back to the festival and Mitsuki faced you.

"Please stay safe." He place a kiss on your forehead before heading towards a crowd of people.

You were left dumbfounded at your place and when you process what just happened, you went after Mitsuki who disappeared from the crowd of people. You desperately made your way through the crowds, trying to find a certain light blue hair but you never found him. It was like as if he disappeared like a bubble.

-----Time skip-----

You were now at your house, in your bedroom, on your bed staring up on your ceiling. Your memories always return to the part where Mitsuki had kiss you and you were squealing in joy as you replay the memory over and over again.

Your heart never stop racing up and the butterflies in your stomach are just going more wildly as ever. You then sat up with a smile on your face and then it died down when you saw 'I own you' sitting on your desk.

You didn't remember putting it there but you slowly took it anyway, hoping that the story on the book was only coincidence in real life. You also remember the mission that was given to you to keep an eye at Mitsuki and NOT fall in love with him.

But who could help you when you're in love with someone?

You slowly opened the book and started reading where you last left off. You read how Julia went to the festival and spend time with her friends including the moment she spent with Misuki where they both kiss each other.

Your breathing hitch as the story on the book was the exact same thing that happened in your point of views that day.

'As they both separated from each other, Julia returned to her home. Little did she know that her purpled haired friend Sumir was walking around the park and a car just exploded when she was passing by, burning her to her death.'

You widen your eyes as you knew that the Sumir in the book was referring to Sumire, the class Rep. You didn't waste any time to pick up your phone and tried calling Sumire. Not even five seconds later, Sumire answered.

"Hey Y/n? What's wrong?" Sumire answered.

"No time to explain, where are you now?" You question hoping that she's not on a park in that very moment.

"Just heading to the park." Sumire replied and you swallowed hard as soon as you heard what she just said.

"Don't go to the park! I have read the book and it said that you were going to die on the park because of a car exploding. You will be burnt to death!" You quickly said and you heard Sumire gasp.

"W-what do I do t-then?" Nervous and scared tone was heard on Sumire's voice.

You tried to think of anything to keep her safe and only one thing came in your mind.

"Go back to your house and lock everything. You'll be safer there with your parents right? At least they could protect you from any harm right?" You suggested and you heard Sumire hum in agreement.

"B- a... ho-in-me... ho-we-lp." You didn't know why but your connection to Sumire started to lose until the call was cut.

You tried ringing her back but it always goes to her voicemail until it said that the person is not available. You tried a few more before you gave up and called the second person whom might can help you.

"Hello?" The person answered.

"Inojin! Where are you right now?!" Panic was clearly heard in your voice.

"I'm still at the festival with Shikadai. Why, what's wrong?" By the time Inojin ask that, you were already running out of your house.

"No time to explain, I got a feeling that Sumire's life is in danger." You told him about the story on the book and it was hard for you to talk since you were running but Inojin understood what you were trying to say.

"Got it, meet us at the park." Inojin instructed and you ended the call.

When you got to the park, you saw Inojin and Shikadai just arrived and heading towards you.

"Where is she?" Inojin ask.

"I told her to go back at her house and not go to a park." You replied panting.

"I'll stay here just in case that something explode, the two of you head towards her house right now." Shikadai demanded and you nodded without wasting any more time.

You and Inojin were racing towards Sumire's house and when you got there, you and Inojin both stop and look at each other. 

"I'll go first." Inojin said and you nodded in agreement.

With Inojin's first step, the both of you heard Sumire scream and this made the two of you rush towards her house but before you could even make it at the front door, you were both push back cause by the house exploding in fire. 

The two of you crash landed down the ground in rapid speed and rolled over a few times before stopping. You cough out loud while tasting the iron in your mouth. Pain shoots through your whole body and you tried to stand up but failed. 

All you could hear was an 'iiii' sound (I don't know what it's called but it's the sound on a movie where someone got shot near the ear and that sound plays) When you look up, you instantly saw Mitsuki behind a bush but it was too blurry for you so you weren't sure if it was him. 

Soon after, you fell down back the ground then blackout.
