Chapter Sixteen: Hot

[In this, 10k is kinda.. outta character but I figured it wouldn't matter.]

Y/n's Pov

I chuckled as 10k shot the severed head before the full Z. He looked over at me and smiled. We got to a little 'private compound' and 10k sighed. "Surrender all weapons? Are they serious?" I bit my gum. I stared at the man Garnett was talking to. We all got out but I stumbled. 10k smirked slightly at me. "Been walking long?" I flipped him off and got in line. He set his sniper, sling, all three of his knifes, and a pistol down. I giggled as he had to pull a chain out of his pants. 

I walked up next with a smirk on my face. "Karma's a bitch." I set my sniper, sling, four of five knives, and a pistol. The lady tried to take my bandanna and I glared. "I will cut you." She chuckled as I walked past, but I could see the hair on her neck stand up. 10k looked at me while raising his eyebrow. "You seriously threatening a guard?" I shrugged. I smirked and pulled a pin out of my shirt pocket. He looked at me curiously. "What's that?" I showed him. "It's what I earned for being in the Navy Seals for a year. It's sharper than any of my knifes so I am not afraid to cut someone."

I put it back and he furrowed his eyebrows. "How did you get that past the metal detector. I held up my bandanna and showed him a knife that was in it. He shook his head with a smile. We were walking right behind Murphy. I was scoping out any exits, and 10k could tell at the eagerness in my eyes that I didn't feel safe. He slipped  his hand in mine, causing me to tense up but relax. When I realized it was him I calmed down. He leaned over and whispered in my ear. "Hey, everything is going to be ok. I'm here." I looked into his eyes, which were staring at my lips, he was only inches away. I took a quick glance down at his lips. "Yea." I looked back up into his beautiful eyes and smiled. "You are."

We all got our food and sat down. Tommy knit his eyebrows together. "I have a bad feeling.." His eyes trailed up to look at the  girl that came in from outside the gate. She snuck out and he followed her after asking me. I stared at my food, smiling at the apple that 10k ate. It was all he ate. I put mine in my bag and looked up as some guy jumped on a table, preaching something strange. He opened up his cross, which proved to be a knife, and slit his throat.

I covered my mouth as he did so. He dove into a guys face. I jumped back as he ran at me. Addy and Mack got it. Murphy stormed out the doors. I ran back to the food and grabbed the two of the apples, there were at least 6, and shoved them in my bag, bolting out the door. Doc looked at me with panic. "Where are yo-" "To get Murphy before he gets himself killed!"

10k's Pov

I removed the cross that was blocking a door and our crew ran out. We spoke a moment. Garnett ran his hand through his hair.  "Have you seen Murphy?" I shook my head. A certain h/c haired girl was missing. "Y/n?" Doc gulped. "She went after Murphy." A feeling of serious dread overcame me.

The group got aimed at so I ran off. When looking for Y/n, I saw a man with a plaid shirt and brown hair. He had Y/n's army pin. I knocked him out, picking it up.

Y/n's Pov

I watched in horror as Murphy allowed himself to be put in the cage of Z's. I was currently inside, crouching behind a door. He looked back at me, showing sympathy, and then turned back. "Stop!"     "Murphy.." He stepped right outside the cage. Someone covered my mouth.

10k's Pov

I knelt on the roof, aiming at the cult leader. Murphy stood in front of my shot, but I'm not gonna lie, I was very fearful. They said Y/n went after Murphy, and he was in a cage of Z's..  Suddenly, Y/n got yanked from the building, a guard had his gun on the back of her head. Her hands shot up and she didn't move.

The cult leader turned her around, the cross knife on her throat. Her eyes were instantly on me. I watched as blood seeped under the knife, and without hesitation, I took out one of his men. He pulled the knife back and shot at Murphy. Y/n elbowed him and pulled out her own knife, knocking his out of his hand. She stabbed him in the arm and ran at one of his guys. 

I muttered under my breath. "Come on baby... We can handle them." I shot another of the men and watched as Y/n stabbed another, getting a little bit of blood on her cheek. She was smirking though.. and it was kinda hot. She kicked a guy back and slit his throat, instantly stabbing him, but her blade got stuck and she turned around to see a Z. I shot it instantly, and shot the Z's that were running towards Warren.

Warren cried out as they dragged her away from Garnett's corpse. Y/n took out Z's as they came after the grieving Warren.

I got back to the truck and Y/n was sitting in the bed, leaning over the side. I walked beside the truck so I'd be eye level. I held up her pin and she smiled at me, kissing my cheek. I instantly blushed and then hopped in the back. Warren made the driver stop and she came over, taking my rifle. She gave Garnett mercy..
