Jay's POV

"Jay...Jay!"
I snap to attention to see my best friend looking at me from over my desk. His coal black hair, cascading over his forehead. His brown eyes looking at me, concerned.
"W-what?" I stutter, coming back to reality.
"You've been staring at your phone for ages. What's wrong?" He asked, getting a chair from the other side of my office and bringing it over to sit next to me.
"It's nothing." I brush off his concern. I can tell he doesn't believe me, just by the look on his face.
"You've been silent for ages, staring at your phone and not doing anything. You didn't even notice me walk through the door. And, you look like your about to pass out. Tell me about that." He's trying to get me to look at him, but I don't.
"Cam, I'm fine. Really." Is all I say. But in my mind, I am so worried about Jordan. Nothing has happened since she fell down the stairs. Which was sort of a while ago. Does that mean that something is going to happen soon? The thought has put me on edge ever since I hung up the phone to her.
"C'mon man. Something's bothering you." He places a hand on my shoulder. "What is it?"
"Ok. It's Jordan. I'm worried about her." I say, putting my head in my hands.
"Um, the girl that you like?"
"Yes, the girl that I like." I say incredulously.
"Ok then." He was really starting to annoy me.
"Hey! Westwood, Chapney. Get back to work!" My boss calls from the door of my office.
"Yes Sir!" Cameron and I say together. Cameron gets up, puts the chair back, and heads out the door, passing Mr. Bolt. I just call him Sir, though he insists on calling him Bolt. He looks at me concerned then walks away. I rest my head on my desk and close my eyes.

I wake up to a phone ringing. I lift my head up and look around. It takes me a minute to realise it's my phone. I pick it up and see that it's Jordan's number. Didn't I just speak to her a minute ago? I look up at the clock on my wall and see that it's been 2 hours. Wow.

I answer the phone and press it to my ear.

   "Hello? Jordan?" I ask.

"Sorry Jay, this is Philomena." She says, her voice sounding panicked.

"Oh! No it's ok Mena. Why are you calling me through Jordan's phone?"

   "Umm." She hesitates.

"Mena, what's wrong?" I asked, really concerned now.

"It's...it's Jordie. She's," She pauses. "She needs you. Now."

Without hesitation I get up and run out of the police station. Ignoring all the stares I'm getting, I jump in my car and start the engine, heading straight for their house. Jordan needs me. I drive as fast as I can, not breaking the rules by speeding though. I quickly drive up their driveway, and turn off the car. I get out of the car and bolt for the house. I frantically bang on the door.
"Come on! Come on! Come on!" I say under my breathe. The door swings open and Mena is there, looking very shaken. I go to her, placing my hands on her shoulders and look into her eyes. She was clearly scared.
"Where is she?" I ask frantically. She moves away from me and dashes up the stairs. I follow closely behind.

I can hear Jordan screaming, even before I get to the door. She sounds very scared, terrified. I quickly open up the door and see her spazzing on the ground. Her eyes wide and alert, darting all around the room. Her arms and legs keep twitching and jerking everywhere. Her head keeps banging against the floor with so much force, that I thought she might black out.

I rush to her, going on my knees and trying to calm her. Placing one hand on her right shoulder, and my other on her hip on the opposite side. I pull her close to me, cradling her to my chest. She's still spazzing and one of her fists comes flying up, accidentally punching me in the jaw.
"Jordan, Jordan. It's me, it's Jay." I say to her. She looks like she can't hear me. I look in her eyes and just see fear. They aren't focusing on anything, almost like she can't see anything, like she's blind and panicking. She jerks her head away and starts spazzing again. I lean in and whisper in her ear.
"Jordie. It's Jay. Can you please come back to me? Come back, please." I move my head away, and realise that she's slowed her breathing a little bit. Her spasms sowing down, but not quite enough. Her legs and arms keep twitching. She turns her head slowly, trying to search for something. Her eyes land on me, or somewhere near me. But her eyes look vacant, empty. She looks directly at me, but her eyes look like they're trying to focus, but failing. I need to help her. Somehow.

I put my hands on her cheeks and slowly lean in, just as she was about to start spazzing again. I gently press my lips to hers, her lips were quivering. In my arms, I can feel her relaxing, her breathing slowing, her spasms stopping. I pull away, looking for a sign of the Jordan that I know. There she is, her tired green eyes looking up at me. She gives me the tiniest of smiles and rests her head on my chest. I lay my cheek on the top of her head, happy that she's back. I look at the corner of the room and see Mena there, her hand over mouth, looking at us.
"Hey, Jordie?" I whisper to her.
"Mhm." She mumbles. "Yeah?" She sounds very tired.
"I'm going to have to take you to the hospital." I lift my head and look at her. I see that her eyes are closed. "Hey, c'mon Jordie. Don't fall asleep on me now." She mumbles in response and I give a quiet laugh.
"Will you need help with her?" Mena asks, stepping forward.
"No it's ok. I'll be 'right." I start to get up when Jordan groans. I look down at her and see that her facial expression says that she's in pain. I gently get up and pick Jordan up bridal style, her head resting on my shoulder.
"Don't worry Jordan, your safe with me here." I whisper to her. I go down stairs with Mena following behind. She opens the door and walks to the car and opens the car door as well.
"You take care of my sister." She says, her eyes staring me down.
"Of course Mena. I care a lot about your sister." I say, turning red with embarrassment. Did I really just say that to Mena? Unbelievable. I lean down and gently place Jordan in the passenger seat and put her seatbelt on. I kiss her forehead and close the door. I say goodbye to Mena and get in the driver seat. I turn the car on, and head towards the hospital.

It dawns on me while driving, that I actually kissed Jordan. Oh my God! I actually kissed Jordan! I never would've imagined it would've happened in this situation.

   But it did.
