chapter 14- trouble is a friend

3RD PERSON POV

"doyeon is something on your mind? you seem really out of it since yesterday." mina said walking out of the bathroom, steam seeping out through the door from her hot shower, seeing doyeon sitting on her desk.

"yeah just. . . bestfriend troubles." she breathed out and relaxed her neck onto her chair.

"if something's wrong you can always tell me." mina smiled.

"thanks, but it's okay i'll figure it out." doyeon gave a light smile before she got up and opened the door.

"im going to the cafe do grab a bite, wanna come?" doyeon asked as she looked back at mina.

"it's okay, i'm going to see seonho today." mina smiled while ruffling her hair, attempting to dry it quicker.

"alright have fun" doyeon said and mina waved her off. the door closed and mina turned to her mirror on her desk.

"bestfriend troubles? if she doesn't want to tell me then i'll just have to make her tell me." she said to herself before going to change her clothes ready for seonho.

"daehwi, jihoon, what are you doing here?" doyeon asked as she walked into the cafe.

"sorry, i uh have to go. i'll be late for something." jihoon lied and exited the cafe.

"what was that about?" daehwi asked, and doyeon replied with an awkward smile.

"anyway, i came to get food obviously." daehwi said, taking a bite of his sandwich.

doyeon quickly ordered her food at the counter and sat at the table with daehwi.

"daehwi what should i do?" doyeon ask.

"well, it's about time you asked me, what's going on between you and yoojung?" he asked.

"she told you?" she asked. "no it's fairly obvious." he replied.

"i won't tell you what she did daehwi, i'm sure she'll tell you when she's ready but, she did something to me, without me knowing a while ago and if i knew back then, it would've affected me and changed alot of things, but now that i know now, it doesn't really change anything. so what should i do." doyeon looked at daehwi directly in the eye.

"well, it's not affecting you now, so i'd say just let it go" he replied, before picking up his sandwich again.

"you see that's the thing daehwi, i always let it go, it happens all the time. without me even realising it. Ever since we were kids, I mean, you remember right? daehwi i did everything for her." she confessed.

daehwi put his sandwich down. "look i dont know what she did and how bad it was, but you are her bestfriend, yes she did something that i'm assuming is bad, but if she asked for your forgiveness then you should forgive her. we've been friends for far too long to let this small thing affect it. and i know you have every right to feel angry or frustrated or upset but imagine how bad she feels too." he said and picked up his sandwich again.

"woah. . . that was deep." doyeon replied to his little speech

the waiter came over to place doyeon's pasta on the table.

"maybe you just need time to think. give it a few days, just alteast before daniel comes back, you don't want him to have to deal with that too." he replied.

"yeah i will. thanks daehwi" she smiled.

JIHOON POV

"yoojung-ah open the door." i knocked onto the blue door of her dorm.

"hey jihoon~" sohye smiled as she opened the door for me to enter.

"oh, hey sohye, is yoojung here?" i asked, peaking into the dorm.

"oh did you come to see her?" she asked.

i mean, who else would i be here for? i gave her an awkward smile.

"she went out to grab some lunch, she said she'll be back soon." sohye explained.

"ah okay, thanks, i'll call her." i said before turning around.

"wait!" sohye said and grabbed onto my arm, making me turning around to look at where she was touching.

she let go and put her hand on her mouth. "sorry" she mumbled.

"you can wait for her in here its okay." she smiled.

"no it's ok-"

"i insist!" she slightly raised her voice so that mine couldn't be heard.

i walked into their dorm and sat on yoojungs chair. sohye sat in hers and faced me, a few seconds past and it was just getting awkward so i excused myself to the bathroom.

i walked into the bathroom, noticing everything on the shelves and the sink bench. there was two of every product. strange. 

I quickly took out my phone and messaged Yoojung.

jihoon: yoojung where are you??

yoojung: i'm heading to my dorm now, why?

jihoon: i'm waiting at your dorm with sohye and it's getting awkward.."

yoojung: you're with sohye?

yoojung: alone?

jihoon: yes.

yoojung: just stay there i'm coming now.

i heard a knock on the main door and came out from the bathroom, assuming it was yoojung, but it saw haknyeon.

"jihoon? oh did i interrupt something?" haknyeon asked, attempting to hide his smile.

honestly what is wrong with this kid.

"no, i'm waiting for yooju-"

"yeah it's just us two" sohye smiled.

"oh, i better go then" haknyeon said and turned around to leave.

"argh!" yoojung yelled, her head hitting haknyeon's chest as he turned around.

i quickly walked to yoojung.

how do the 4 of us always end up together istg.

"haknyeon, what are you doing here?" i finally asked.

"i came to help yoojung with her part of the assignment." haknyeon replied, looking at yoojung.

"i think she's fine and she can do it herself." i replied sternly.

"i asked him to come help me" yoojung said and slightly pushed jihoon out of the way to get to her desk, putting her bags of snacks down.

"you asked him to help you?! what- what about me?!" jihoon followed her back into the dorm.

yoojung rolled her eyes.

"i just didn't want to bother you that's all." yoojung said casually while getting out her book.

"you know i'm not bothered. . . i love helping you." i spoke, but the last part came out a little quieter than normal.

yoojung turned around. "what are you doing here anyway?" she asked.

"i, bumped into doyeon and i needed an excuse to be somewhere else." i explained.

"well. . . since we're all here, we can work on the assignment together now." yoojung said.

"sounds great!" sohye and haknyeon said together.

i let out a sigh and cursed under my breath.

"alright let's go library its a little too stuffy in here." jihoon said before walking out of the dorm.
