Holy shit...
I just gave myself a panic attack.... Don't ask. I was being stupid... Ok! Not in the mood to write, so sorry if it's short.... Ya. ~ kylie
Chapter 19
The rest of the day passes by rather uneventfully. Trey and I spend the rest of the lunch hour
cuddles on the bench, smiling at each other and trying to finish up our dreaded math homework. All integers and whole numbers... Not that I hadn't learned this stuff before. "How is it, that when we haven't learned a math subject, it's super hard, but when we have learned it and we're reviewing it, it's still SUPER HARD?" I ask Trey, totally stressed out.
I mean, really! "Take one, pass it down. These are just a few review sheets. Due on Monday." Mrs. Downs explained to us. I almost snorted, but figured that that would've been more than rude. The review sheets were more like huge packages... Wow. But nonetheless, most of the sheets were explanations, and only about less than half of them were actual worksheets. Due on Monday? No problem! Today was Thursday... (Yay! Almost the weekend!) so that gave me four days to finish it. But still, I figured that she wouldn't mind me handing it in early, you know, for bonus points.
Plus, I wouldn't mind not having to worry about it during the weekend, too. "What would x equal if 3x-5+2= 3?" Trey asks me. I think about it for a second, and then answer him. "Two." He smiles at me. "Wow that was quick!" I nod at him. "Yup. I love that kind of stuff." "Awesome. Are you almost finished?" He asks me. I laugh. "Trey, I was done a few minutes ago." "Cool. Same here." He answers, packing up his things. "I want to show you something." I say, grabbing his arm and pulling him to the music room. "What?" He asks, looking around and setting down his bag. I pull the electric piano to the middle of the room. I start to play 'Set Fire to the Rain' by Adele. The beginning riff is beautiful! He smiles at me and sits down beside me.
I let it fall, my heart
And as it fell, you rose to claim it
It was dark
And I was over
Until you kissed my lips
And you saved me
My hands, they're strong
But my knees were far too weak
Stand in your arms
Without falling to your feet
But there's a side to you
That I never knew never knew
All the things you'd say
They were never true never true
And the games you'd play
You would always win always win
But I set fire to the rain
Watched it burn as
I touched your face
Well it burned while I cried
Cause I heard it screaming
Out your name, your name
When I lay with you
I could stay there, close my eyes
When you're here, forever, you and me together
nothing is better
But there's a side to you
That I never knew never knew
All the things you'd say
They were never true never true
