a few months later...

finn

me: ok ily

i click send, throwing my phone down. i relax on my bed. it buzzes again, and i lazily pick it up, holding it above my face. if i were to drop it now, it'd hurt.

char: ly2

char: u gonna tell millie today?

me: idk, maybe. depends on her mood. i dont wanna make her too upset

char: why not

me: cuz like we're still gonna be friends hopefully

char: after she finds out that u've been cheating on her for 2 months

me: well ur ok with it

char: yeah yeah but idc because ik u rlly love me ;)

me: ok, i'll think abt it... byeeee

char: bye ly

i sigh, setting my phone down gently this time. part of me wants everything to go back to like how it was when we first started dating. the awkward hand holding, the waterpark, going to eliza's everyday and getting fat... i could go on. part of me longs for the past, but the other wants me to stay with charlotte. we haven't met yet, but our parents are planning on it soon, maybe after filming is over. she's really funny, and can make me laugh no matter what. i feel like we could possibly have more chemistry that millie and i. also, she's gorgeous. not saying millie isn't too, but....

"nick?!" i scream from my room.

"what?!" he screams back. basically all of our communication is just yelling from room to room.

"i'm going to caleb's condo! be back at like 8!" before he responds, i leave. caleb's made me agree to leave my phone here, so we can actually watch our movie and not just play on our phones. i'll have to admit, that's something i do a lot.

two hours later (around 7:00 pm)

"sadie hurry up!" i call, already in the hallway. hopefully finn's not home.

"i'm coming i'm coming!" she calls, frantically rushing out of her condo. we've agreed for me and her to sneak into his condo and decorate it. it's been exactly three months since we've started dating, and sadie and i wanted to celebrate it by throwing him a surprise party. that's why caleb agreed to inviting finn over for the night so we could set up.

sadie grabs the backpack filled with decorations and we set off to finn's condo. after nick answers the door, reassuring us that finn is still at caleb's, we start decorating.

after half and hour, i have to say, it looks great. we have streamers on the ceiling and walls, trays of food set up, and those cliché tumblr fairy lights on the walls. "wanna move to finn's room?" i ask, earning a nod from sadie as my response. we enter his room, and repeat the process. i love the final product. it's 7:43 when we're done, so we decide to just wait around in his room until he arrives, then sneak out and surprise him.

his phone buzzes. i lean over to his bed to see who it is. some girl named "char". i've never heard anyone named char before that finn knows. normally i wouldn't snoop through people's texts, but the curiosity gets the better of me.
