I began pacing to and fro the room while panting with my phone in hand surfing the internet trying to look for a solution that can solve the problem between me and this beastly man-woman.
"You know as well as sharing a body, we also share each other's feelings as well as thoughts and emotions. And I am a warrior not such insult you gave me. Buddha help me survive this"she said looking upwards as if praying and desperately waiting for an answer. She muttered something I didn't quite get distinctly.
I heard the rambling and ranting of footsteps from outside my bedroom, then came a soft knock at the door."T, are you done unpacking, dinner's almost ready", Dora said through the door then walked away as I heard her footsteps fading.
"Oh its already dark!", I exclaimed in surprise. "I have tomorrow to unpack anyway, so you um- - coming down for dinner", I asked politely.
She scoffed,
"It doesn't matter if I consume food, as long as you eat well and stay healthy, we have nothing to worry about. And besides I need to be updated about the modern age as to how we would function well together", she stated as a matter of fact.
I looked down to examine myself before making an hypothesis,
"I look healthy enough for the both of us", I answered."Mayhap what you need are bigger eyeballs to see that you look a lot less than the runt of the warrior's camp", she said with a smirk.
"Hey I look good", I protested while fiddling with the hem of my shirt. I was quite aware of my outer appearance and is conscious about it. Mostly the clothes I wear just finds a way to soothe and wrap itself around me whenever I was conscious about my appearance.
"What you need is an air of dignity", she demonstrated. "And I will help you but I will need that flat square box you carry around with you for research as I have to see what the new age has to offer" she filled in.
I blew a raspberry and turned my back to her,
"The box thing is called a phone"."Hmm". For a few moments, she kept on repeating the word 'phone' over and over again.
"I will also teach you everything you need to know about the 21st century but we will start that tomorrow",
"TOVA!!", just then I heard my name being called.
"Yea", I answered back.
"Its time for dinner, come down to eat", Dora shouted through the stairs.
I glanced in Ara-ñat's direction and asked her to get up so we can go eat, she nodded and then followed me out of the room to dine.
"What took you so long and who were you talking to?", Dora asked while settling the plates down. I joined her in preparing the table.
"Umm no one just talking to myself". I replied trying to draw her attention away from the original topic. "What about work?""I'm needed back at work by Monday ,but I won't be available tomorrow". She bit her lip as if trying to hide a smile. I got why she did it.
"Derek, Derek", I mimicked with a high pitched voice while acting lovesick.
"Stop that, well I haven't seen him for weeks now so you'll be home tomorrow and also I'll give you my credit card to go to the mall to get what you'll need for school on Monday "she said.
"Urrgh" I groaned.
"What is a mall?" Ara-ñat asked.
I turned to her and whispered,
"I'll tell you later"."After dinner you're washing the plates "Dora said.
"Why, is it because I'm younger that's why you give me all these chores" I complained heavily.
"On your way to dish town via soap world ask sponge-celot for advice" she suggested amusedly.
I groaned like there's no tomorrow.
