Anna came over the next day after school to check up on me and we chatted for a while before I blurted out that Jack and I kissed the night before.

She squealed out in excitement and proclaimed herself our baby's godmother.

Ara-ñat just rolled her eyes at the shout of praise that Anna gave, she snorted at her behaviour and muttered, 'The young generation'.

"Anna don't you think that we should focus on high school first". I asked astounded at her outburst.

"Yeah but you guys would make cute babies together". She squealed once again making Ara-ñat to stand up from where she sat.

"If she doesn't stop,I will make her". She warned me.

I knew that Anna couldn't see Ara-ñat standing behind her so I held her arms and pleaded with her to calm down while I ran my hands up and down Anna's arms.

She calmed down but she still had this devious looking smile on her lips.

"I'm so happy for you, when am I going to have my own happily ever after?". She fantasized dreamily looking into space.

I clicked my fingers in front of her to snap her out of this daze and it worked.

"Anna don't worry, your Prince charming will arrive someday, but now I need you to explain class assignments for me so I don't slack".  I asked her.

"Uh at least it might get my mind out of it".  And for the next hour she drilled me with question and explanations on school work that I had missed while I was at the hospital.

"I can't wait to see you at school on Monday so you and I could do our walk of fame". Anna said making me remember something that we promised to do together every semester as we walked down the hallway.

I smiled and took my mind off the book I was reading to face her.

"Do we really have to do this, I mean we've been doing this for years now?". I cornered her.

She left out a huge gasp of mock horror, she gave me a steel look that made me cringe in apprehensive anticipation expecting a huge outburst.

At the corner of my eye, Ara-ñat leaned forward waiting for a reaction from the now silent Anna who still had that look in her face.

But instead she took in a deep breath and released it calmly before looking at me.

Ara-ñat moved backwards but still had her gaze on her reaction.

"Sweet Tova, my dear you will not break our age long tradition just because you are sick of it, the show must go on". She said to me to sweetly, might I add. Suddenly her face changed into her ultimately serious look.
"We will do it".

I didn't argue with her and we went back to the books.

After few hours Anna had to leave since it was getting late and I waited for Dora to arrive home.

"Ara-ñat please sit I want to talk to you".

She sat beside me trying to make herself comfortable on the sofa.
"Yes you called for my attention".

"I want you to narrate down what happened to me at Jack's house and I don't want you to lie because I'll know if you do". I warned her.

She sighed deeply and looked away from me, I could see that she was having a tough time taking to me about what happened.

"I was able to understand the changes going on in you. That night you beared the body which also meant that you took what the change had to offer".

"I don't understand, what changes?". I asked getting worried.

"When my soul was being trapped in the stone, the priestess warned of certain changes that was most likely going to happen".

"Ara-ñat you're scaring me, please tell me what changes?".

"There was a chance it wasn't bound to happen but it seems it is".

"What is going to happen?".

"We are going to merge".

At first I couldn't understand what she meant because what other thing does she mean by we'll merge?!

"I don't understand Ara-ñat, is it that we'll be joined together because I know that and we'll share a body, isn't that right?". I asked frantically trying to make sense of what she had just said.

"Not in the way you made it to be". She looked away for a second before facing me once more. "We will become one, our lives will be intertwined, my life will be yours and yours mine, we will merge into one".

"So you mean that......". I trailed before she continued.

"That day that you felt the pain, my memories we're becoming yours and yours we're becoming mine".

"So we will not only share a body but be connected as a person, us... We... You..... I".
I was hyperventilating at this point.

I sprang up from the chair and started pacing around the room, unaware of what is going on around me, I kept cracking my knuckles nervously, I couldn't make sense of what I had just heard.

Ara-ñat grabbed me breaking my daze,
"I will find a way".

"How?! I mean it's not like your priestess friend can come back to life magically after being dead for so long?". I laughed at my own joke. Insane, am I right? This can't be happening?!?!

"There is always a way, we will find one together".

I just had to put my trust in Ara-ñat till we could find out what is really happening to us before it becomes too late to do anything to do it.
