Later that day after my unusual run-in with Peter, Sarah takes me to meet her family. They welcome me to dinner and inform me of how they'll help me strengthen and grow my powers through vigorous training, but they can only teach me the basics, it will mostly be up to me because every witches nature and power is unique to them.

"The path to magical harmony my dear is a rocky one,"Sarah's grandmother, Regina (Authors note: Hi guys, I forgot if her name was actually mentioned and if so, what it was, so I'm just going to take creative license with it. Okay, Byeee), stated solemnly,  "depending on the ability you're dealing with, such as your ability to see the dead, it can even be dangerous. But with perseverance and patience, it can be mastered."

She hands me a piece of paper and a vial containing a purple liquid and continues, "A potion and the recipe for it. Take it at night and it will increase your foresight visions and improve the quality. Over time you won't need the potion."

"Thank you," I say timidly and she grasps my hand.

"I can feel your energy, Ophelia," she grinned, "It's fiery, wild-untamable. Just like the woman it belongs too. It pulses, ebbs and flows within you and invigorates you, doesn't it?"

I nod, confused and Sarah gives me a kind smile and Regina nods, "I thought so. You and Sarah becoming friends is no coincidence then."

I look at her quizzically and she continues, "Every witch in the world has, somewhere out their, a Ying to their Yang, a sun to their moon, and they strengthen, grow and learn together. It's like planting seeds in the most fertile soil in perfect growing conditions. They balance and harmonize each other and overall, become more powerful. Sarah's powers are healing, elemental and grounded in calm harmony, yours are combat based, spiritual and wildly untamable. They suit you both and learning, practicing and training together regularly, you will grow beyond our expectations. In all my years I've never met witches quite like yourselves. You could both even become supremes one day."

"Supremes?" I echoed, and Sarah nodded.

"They're often the most powerful and respected witch in the coven," she explained, "my grandmother is our supreme, and they're often the leader of the coven. Their word is law and what they say goes. Once a supreme passes judgment, that's it, there's no negotiation. They lead and make decisions on behalf of the coven."

I frown a little and say, "It sounds a little forceful if you ask me. If I was to become a supreme, I'm not sure I'd like to run things that way."

Regina smiles and says quietly, "Each coven is different. Some have their supreme merely as their most powerful witch and they handle thing more diplomatically. We'll have to exercise diplomacy for the time being and temporarily bury the hatchet with the Bartholy's if we are to survive the descendants a second time. They'll be expecting us to divide into different factions, but that will just make us weaker."

We wrap up dinner and I head home. Nicolae is in the entranceway and he seems nervous as he approaches me.

"What did the Osborne's say at the dinner, Ophelia?" he asked.

"They've agreed to train me and to a temporary truce over the descendants' issue," I reply, walking upstairs to my room.

I shut and lock my door, not wanting to be disturbed. I look over the manuscripts Regina gave me. They're about a witches chakra energy and how it's linked to our magic and method in which to control it. It was discovered by Indian witches and that apparently was the birth of mindfulness and Yoga for humans; it was a big cover-up stemming from their research. But meditation and yoga are apparently useful techniques for managing the magical and spiritual energy as well as practicing mindfulness to regulate our emotions. Regina said that witches, especially mediums, are emotion driven and that extreme bursts of emotion leaves us open and vulnerable and can cause us to cast spells without thinking.
