Tragedy

Noah

     "You're dead." I said, controller in hand pressing X.
     "Nope," she said, pressing Y, " You are." She said and dropped the controller on the comfy couch.
     "Uhhggg!" I groaned having lost seven games to Bella.
     She checked the time, and started to get up.
     "Are you hungry?" She asked.
     "Very. Are you?" I asked, wondering if she was actually hungry.
     "For the first time since I got here, I'm actually very hungry although it might go into the toilet."
     "Don't think about that. Just think about eating that big, juicy cheeseburger and those warm, crispy fries and that big, round scoop of vanilla ice cream that just melts in your mouth an-"
    "Stop!" She laughed," You're making me even hungrier than I already am!"
     Walking to the elevator, she started slowing down.
     "Bell, are you okay?"
     "I- I don't know. Can we eat in today?"
     "Sure, babe." I said, wrapping my arm around her waist. "Just lean on me. What's wrong? Are you feeling light-headed?"
     "I'm dizzy and I can't focus on anything."
     "Like your vision or your attention?"
     "Both, I kinda feel scared. Noah, please help."
     Walking into the elevator, her legs gave out.
     "Hey, hey, you're alright, you're okay. Let's get you back to your room."
     "O-Okay. Please hurry. I feel like I'm going to faint."
     We get back to the room and call a nurse. Her nurse came in about five minutes.
     "Hello, what seems to be the matter?"
     "Well, we were going to the cafeteria to eat lunch after playing the Xbox and she said she couldn't focus and was feeling very dizzy. When we got to the elevator, her legs gave out and felt almost terrified."
     "Is this true?" She asked Bella
     "Yes."
     "Well, I wish I could do something to help but that's some of the side effects of  the chemo. Just relax and if you want to eat, eat in here. I wouldn't recommend going back to the entertainment center."
     "Okay." She said.
     "If anything changes for the worse, call me. Noah, keep an eye on her as long as you can before chemo tomorrow. Alright?"
     "Alright." With that, she left, leaving us two alone. We decided to call in to get some food. She got a cheeseburger with the fries and ice cream while I got chicken strips and fruit.
     After we ate, I let her lay on me until she fell asleep.
