Tragedy

Bella

     I woke up holding a sleeping Noah to my chest. I played with his recently dyed hair as I watched his chest rise and fall. I realized I was completely content although I knew we were probably going to die. I wondered if I was ever going to meet his family although we were sick.
     Snapping me out of my head, Noah started to stir.
     "Good morning beautiful." He said, voice raspy.
     "Good morning handsome. For future reference, never say that again."
    "What? Call you beautiful?" He turned to face me. I couldn't look at him. He looked so hurt.
     "Yes." I said looking down in shame. He got up, pulling me up with him.
     "Baby, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met both inside and out. How can you believe that you aren't beautiful?"
     I heard it in his voice. I hurt him bad.
     "I'm sorry." I whispered, voice breaking as I start to sob.
     "It's okay, you're okay. Just try to believe me although it may be hard. Alright?"
     Pulling me close and setting his chin on my head, he lets me cry.
     "Are you hungry?"
I nodded my head yes, not pulling out of the hug.
     "Then let's eat. I'll be sure to get extra chocolate for you."
     "Okay, thank you."
     "Of course babe." With that, we headed to the cafeteria.
     When we were about halfway there, I get a text from Alyssa.

Hey, can you meet me at the entertainment center? I would like you to meet Mackenzie. Feel free to bring Noah along. You can get food afterwards.
            
               Okay. We'll be there in about 10 minutes.

     "What was that about?"
     "Well, I have to go meet someone at the entertainment center. Apparently we're not the only ones here," I said jokingly with a shrug, "Alyssa said you're welcome to come along."
     "Okay, I'll go. It'll be nice to meet someone here."
     "Okay, let's go then."
