"Oh my gosh. That was absolute torture." I said as Noah walked in.
"Aww, babe, I'm sorry. If I could, I would take all your pain and cancer away." He said, trying to reassure me.
"But then you'd have it and I couldn't live with that." I say on the verge of tears.
"Aww, come here." He said pulling me into a hug. At that point, I let everything out. "Shhh, everything will be alright. Just let everything out. I got you."
We held each other for the rest of the day. No one dared disturbed us.
"When next week do you start your chemo?" I ask quietly.
"Thursday. Why?"
"I wanted to know when I get to hold you like this. Please don't try to reject it. I don't want you to feel like you can't be weak. I love you through weak and strong and nothing will ever change that.
"Okay." He smiled, " I don't know how someone as perfect and beautiful as you can love someone as imperfect as me." He blushed.
I kissed him in response, setting off fireworks in my tummy.
"I love you through weak and strong and nothing will ever change that." He murmured back to me.
"I don't ever want this moment to end." I said.
"Does it have to?"
"Well I thought because you need to go to your room and your nurse would get mad an-"
"She can deal and she knows I'm over here."
"Okay." I said, happy he was staying.
