Unexpected Love

Chapter 13

P.O.V Cortnee

Today is the day of the doctor’s appointment. Liam and I are going to see if our baby is healthy. We have been home searching. Now we want a big yard and fenced in. We want a big home. Liam and I are going to look after the doctors. Liam right now is cleaning up the flat. I feel bad that we are moving being we are going to be leaving Niall, but I heard Zayn might be moving here. I haven’t been much out of the flat since I been back. Liam is supposed to be packing everything out of my flat and put it in storage.

“Babe, we need to leave soon. Better get dressed.” He said plopping on the bed. “I hope there aren’t any paparazzi there” I said. “Baby they are going to figure out soon anyway.” I sighed. I really didn’t want public to know. “I’m telling my mum this weekend when she comes down. Then if you want we can announce it.” I looked at him. I really didn’t want anyone to know, till I had him or her. I was planning on keeping on the down low.

“Liam, I just don’t want that stress” I sighed. He started to massage my legs. “Babe, you’ll be fine” he said. I pulled my legs away to get up. I took my pajamas off but stood in front of the mirror. I had a bit of a bump. “I’m already getting fat” I rolled my hands over my bump. I threw on a flowy tank top and leggings. Liam was watching me from the bed. “How much do you think I’ll gain?” I asked him “it doesn’t matter love.” He got up and pulled a jumper from his closet. “It’s cold, you’re going to need this” he said handing it to me.

I was waiting for Liam out in the living room. He finally came out of the bedroom minutes later. “You ready to go?” he asked me. “I’ve been ready” I laughed getting up. “Let’s go my love” he said wrapping his arm around my waist. We got into the car, that’s when my nerves hit. “Are you scared” I gulped. He looked over at me. “Of course, but everything will be okay.” He said with a smile. “What about your fans?” I said with a slight frown. “Babe, real fans won’t care.”

I took nap on the way there. “Baby, wake up. We’re here” Liam said pushing my hair out of my face. I was still half asleep. Liam opened the door for me and pulled me out of the car.  There weren’t any paparazzi, thank goodness. Liam held the door opened for me. “Thank you sir” I said winking. We walked up the starts. “Cortnee,” I told the lady at the front desk. “Here you go, fill this out.”

Liam and I sat in waiting room, filling in the information. “These questions are so hard.” I said. “Babe.” Liam said to get my attention “What.” I looked over at him “I think we need to tell the press. I mean my next interview is coming up.” He said whispering. I didn’t want to answer him. “Babe, did you hear me.” I nodded my head. “Cortnee.” A nurse called. I got up and Liam followed close behind. “Do you have an ultrasound today?” she asked and I nodded my head.

I lay down on the table and the nurse plopped the jelly on my stomach. “That’s cold” I mumbled. The nurse had the screen turned, “I’ll show you after we get all the measurements.” Liam sat next to me holding my hand. Liam’s fingers rolled over my fingers. At random, Liam’s phone started to ring. I looked at him. He ignored the call and went back to me.

“Okay, well that was interesting” she said turning the screen. “Well here you go, your babies. It’s too early to know the sex of them” I didn’t hear her right I guess until Liam said “Babies?” my face went pale. “Yes twins.” My face went paler. I looked at Liam, whose smile is off his face. ‘Now I’m going to lose him’ I said in my head.

“Thank you” I mumbled as Liam and I left the doctor’s office. I got into the car and turned the radio on. I didn’t say anything, neither did he. The whole car ride was silent. He pulled into drive. “I’ll get myself and go back to my flat” I finally said leaving the car. I walked into his flat and grabbed the clothes I left her and shoved them into my bag.
