Chapter 16

P.O.V Liam

Cortnee fell asleep, early tonight. It was only 10 but she was out all day looking at houses with the girls. I decided to leave her sleeping and go watch TV in the living room. I didn’t want to wake her, she has been through enough this week, that she doesn’t know about. The boys have been going out with Harry to make sure he isn’t near Cortnee. They haven’t been alone since that night.

I sat down in the living room and turned on the TV. There wasn’t really on, I just turned on the batman movie. I had a lot on my mind. I need to get ready for the babies, only 19 more weeks, till they are here. We need a house and the house needs to be filled with furniture. Cortnee has been anxious. I need sleep but I am completely stressed out.

I got up and grabbed a beer from the fridge. I don’t drink much. I sat down and returned to the batman movie. Maybe if I drink enough, I can sleep.

P.O.V Cortnee

It was one in the morning and I didn’t feel Liam lying next to me. I slowly got up, and wanted to find him. I hated sleeping alone. I slowly walked down the hall. Liam fell asleep on the sofa. I kissed his head and covered him with a blanket. I realized that there was 3 beer bottles on the floor. I really not around when he drinks. I picked them up and brought them to the kitchen.

I didn’t want to go back to bed, so I lay down at the other end of the sofa. I fell asleep in under minutes.

I woke up from a door shutting. I moved my legs to see if Liam was sit there. He was, thank goodness. I opened my eyes to see Harry standing that the arch way of the living room. I rubbed my eyes “oh hey, harry” I mumbled, he put his finger to his lips, and waved me over. I was too tired to get up. I shook my head. I turned to face the back of the sofa.

I felt Harry’s hand rub my back “Come with me” he whispered into my ear. I shook my head again. “Please, love” I shook it again. “I have food.” Damn it being pregnant, I always want food. “What do you have,” turning to face him, but he was really close. “Please back up,” he the opposite. “Harry.” I warned. His lips crashed into my mine. I pushed him off. “I know you felt something the first time” he said and kissed me again. “Stop,” I pushed him out off.

I accidently kicked Liam. “Cortnee,” he mumbled. “Go back to sleep.” I really didn’t want him and harry to fight. “Is it time to get up?” he started to open his eyes. “Harry what the fuck are you doing here” he stood up and approached him. Liam’s shoved harry. “Fucking back off” Liam yelled into his face. “No, she likes me, don’t you” he asked me. I didn’t, I was in complete shock. Liam pushed him. “Hands off, she is fucking pregnant, with my kids” he yelled him his face. “How do you know that, they could be mine?” Harry said with a smirk. I knew it wasn’t his; this is the first time he kissed me. I shook my head. Liam’s fist collides with Harry’s face. And that was it, a full on brawl.

I screamed on the top of my lungs. I was crying. “Cortnee,” Harry ran over to me. “Get away from me.” They were both were bloody. “Both of you” my tears streamed down my face. I pushed through the boys. I left the house, it was still dark out. I can’t take this. My stomach started to hurt; I really couldn’t make it of the yard. I sat on the grass, “Why me, Why now?” I couldn’t stop crying.

I could hear the boys yelling. A car drove up and stop in front of the house. “Cortnee!” It was Louis and Niall. I couldn’t get up, the pain continued. “What happened? What’s wrong?” They both asked me. “Harry and Liam” I sobbed out. “Why is there blood on you?” Niall asked as Louis ran inside. “Fighting” I sobbed out.

“Niall” Louis yelled out. I was left alone outside again. Niall came back out with Liam. “Cortnee,” Liam sat down next to me. His face was bleeding. I touched his face. “Baby...” I mumbled. “I’m okay, but are you?” he said getting closer. “I’ll be fine.” I really didn’t know if I was. Louis came out with Harry; I didn’t look up to see his face.

Liam was looking at me. “Baby stop worrying about me. Your face is pale.” I shook my head. “I just want you to be okay.” I kissed his shoulder. He stood up and reached down to pick me up. I winced when I started to stand up. “Baby, are you sure?” He picked me up, “Babe, I’m too heavy” he shook his head. “No you’re not. There is going to be a day, that I will pick up all three of you for bed.” He smiled at me.

I looked at Liam’s bruised and bleeding face inside, where there is light. It was horrible. “Baby.” I whimpered out. Liam placed me on to the bed. “I’m fine” he said laying me in bed. I clenched onto my stomach. “Babe,” he rushed to my side. “I’m okay” I said, pretending to be fine. I pulled the blankets over me. “Can you put the alarm for 8” I asked him. I needed to get up early enough so I can do some shopping and house looking.

I slowly drifted to sleep, feeling Liam’s embrace from behind. I can sleep better knowing he is there.

P.O.V Liam

Cortnee was in pain I could tell, she just wanted to focus on me. She made sure I was in bed with her. She held my hands around her stomach. I couldn’t sleep, she had to be up in four hours, I did put the alarm on but I’ll wake her up. Her breathing was steady, it was shaking. “I’m sorry” I softly said. I shouldn’t of fault harry in front of her. She must be scared now.

“Liam,” she sleepily said. “Yes, baby girl” I softly said. “I’m sorry,” she said. I was confused “Why are you sorry?” I scooted closer to her. “He kissed me. Twice. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I let it happen” she started to cry. “Baby it’s not your fault. You couldn’t do anything about it.” I shushed her. She shook her head. “I could have pushed him harder. I’m sorry you’re hurt” she tried to face me but I didn’t want her to look at me and cry. “I’m sorry for scaring you and fighting him in front of you” I told her.

“Go to sleep, love” she loosen her grip on my hand, she must of fell asleep. I feel bad for causing her this pain. I didn’t want to anymore. I want her to be happy. I closed my eyes and listened to her breathing. I hummed little things to her.

P.O.V Cortnee

I heard the door but I felt Liam grip still. Someone picked me up and carried me away. My eyes fluttered open and it was harry. I tried to scream but nothing came out. I kicked my legs and pushed him. He pushed me to a wall and kisses me, I could push him away, and I was too weak.

“Cortnee, Cortnee” I heard Liam’s voice. I woke up, it was just dream “are you okay baby” he pulled me really close. “It was just a dream, I’m here.” He rubbed my back. I tried to relax. “You’re fine” he smiled at me. After a few minutes I completely relax.

“Are you coming with me today?” I finally said. “Do you want me to?” he questioned. “I’d love if you did” He sat up in bed. “I need to take a shower.” I told him. I slid out of bed. I grabbed my phone and headed to the bath.

I stood there looking at my phone. This girl has been my friend of ages and now she hates my guts. I didn’t know what to do. I stood that the door of the bath not able to move. “Cortnee,” Niall said from behind me. “Yeah, sorry. I spaced out.” I put a fact smile on my face and shut the door.

P.O.V Niall

I know what that text said; I was sending behind her and saw it. I had to tell Liam. I knocked on the door. “Come in” he shouted. “Liam, its Cortnee.” I said, “What, what’s wrong with her?” he said standing up. “She just received a text from Carly, and it isn’t the first time. I looks like she has been texting her for weeks.” I told him

He was upset; a lot of shit has been going on with him. I truly feel bad that he has been going through this.

P.O.V Liam                                                    

I was ready to walk into the bathroom but I can hear her singing. She was sing say something. Her voice always gives me hope. I sat down at the room, with my back relaxing against the door. Cortnee has been through so much, she has been nice to everyone but they are just mean to her.

I promise from now on, I’ll let no one hurt her.
