Unexpected Love

Chapter 37

It’s been a week, a week since they left me. I have been living in my brother, his pregnant girlfriend and their son. It is crazy living here. I live in the basement, and hoping to be looking for my own home. I have a lot of money saved up.

I was sitting on my sofa with my nephew, Cody. “TV?” he asked. I nodded my head; he pressed the button on the remote and then handed it to me. I switched to E news. They were talking about Kim K. I wasn’t paying attention; I was looking down at my phone waiting for a text from one of the boys. “Liam Payne has a girlfriend?” the TV said. My head popped up. “This girl has been seen with Luke Hemmings, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne.”

“They all were very touchy with her. Always having a hand on her!” she said. Pictures from Instagram came up and from press. “She was seen with them multiple places, but always with one of the boys.” They even had pictures from the cabin. “But! The most action we actually seen were at the airport.” Pictures of Liam and me. I was holding him, he kissed my head. He was holding my hand on the bench. But then a video came up, of him from the stairs blowing me a kiss and I caught it and put it to my lips.

“Auntie!” Cody pulled on my leg. “Yes?” I asked. “That’s you!” he pointed to the screen. “Yeah,” I said softly. “WE’RE HOME!” CJ shouted. Cody ran to the door. “Daddy! Auntie on the TV” he pulled his dad in here. “Huh, she is” he chuckled. I phone started to buzzed and I left the room.

“Hello?” I answered without looking. “Cortnee?” it was Luke. “Hey,” I said. “The boys are rehearsing.” He must have been referring to the 1D boys. “Are they sucking” I laughed. “They aren’t as good as us” he chuckled. I heard the background go quiet. “But can we talk” he said. “Yeah, what’s up” I sat outside on the patio. “Well, Liam has been down.” He told me. My smile vanishes. “I really didn’t want to hear that” I sighed. “Sorry, but I was wondering if you would fly out in an hour and surprise him” he said quietly. “I don’t know if I can” I said. “Please and maybe stay for a bit” he begged. “You guys have only been gone for a week” I reminded.

“I know, but Liam really is upset and I am too” he whined. “Why are you upset?” I asked him “Because I miss you beautiful” he made me smile. “You kept us together, and always smiling” he added. “Luke, you only gave me an hour to fly out.” I said. “Okay I will see you then” he said. “No, I didn’t-“the line went died. “Ughs.” I ran inside. “CJ!” is shouted. “What Cortnee?” he asked. “Drive me to the airport please” I smiled innocently. “What? Why?” he was completely confused.

“The boys miss me. I haven’t unpacked any of my bags and my clothes are all clean. I’ll just bring everything.” I told him. “Why everything?” he asked. “I don’t know how long I will say” I nervously chuckled. He rolled his eyes and grabbed his keys. “Hurry up” he told him. I ran down stairs and grabbed two of my huge suitcases. I didn’t pack a lot of shoes but a lot of clothes.

I pulled them up the stairs with a struggle. I finally got up the stairs. I kissed little Cody good-bye and hugged my brother girlfriend, “Don’t give birth to my niece while I’m gone” I laughed. “I’ll try not to” she chuckled. “Bye Cody and Savannah.” I waved and grabbed my bags and ran outside. I placed them in my brother’s trucks bed. I hopped into the car. “Ready?” he asked, I smiled and nodded my head.

I made it to the gate right on time, the ride was quick, and I also looked at all hate I was getting online. Even a messaged from Carly. “Why don’t you choose!!” I ignored it because I knew she would be like that.

I decided to go to the same hotel as the boys were; I knew they won’t be there today till tonight. Luke said he would go by and give me my front row ticket. There are two till the concert, I need to get ready. I got into the shower and quickly watched my hair and body. I already had my clothes laid out. I blow dry my hair and curled it slightly; just to get cute waves. I lightly put on eyeliner and mascara. I dabbed on blush and lip-gloss.
