Chapter 19

P.O.V Cortnee

Lately it’s been lonely in the house; it’s just the babies and me. Liam has been working on an album. The boys don’t come over much and if they do, I am already sleeping. Liam leave in the morning when the babies wake up, he helps me get ready and then leaves. It drives me crazy. I really don’t have anyone to talk to. I never really made friends here. I had some friends in Florida but I left them behind.

Liam has been quite distant when he is home. I look over at my clock and its 11:30, at night, he’ll be home soon. The babies are in bed and I am waiting in the sitting room. I already made him dinner. I feel like a house wife and I’m not even a wife. Sometimes I sit here and think what the point of staying is. He doesn’t notice me anymore and nearly doesn’t care.

I bounced back to reality when the front door opened and closed. I got up and greet him. “Hey Liam” I smiled hopeful. I know was crying earlier and I really hoped he doesn’t notice. “Hey Cort” He walked over to me. “How’s recording?” I asked. “We are almost done.” He had a small smile. “But what’s the catch?” I asked, I knew he was hiding something. “Well we have a small tour.” My smile disappeared. “So I’ll be alone for like 3 months.” I sighed. “I think while you’re gone, the babies and me will leave as while” I am crying to hold back my tears.

“What do you mean?” He asked grabbing a hold of my hands. “Well, lately since the babies got here, you haven’t really been yourself. I have been doing everything for you. I understand that you work all day but I do to. I clean, cook and take care of the babies. I am doing this alone. I know this isn’t your fault. But when you get home, you either go right to bed or you hang out with the boys. We never have a me and you time. It’s scary and heart breaking” a few tears fell from my face.

He let go of my hands “I’m sorry.” He said. “If you really don’t feel wanted you can go and find someone that makes you happy” he just gave up like that. “You really are going to let me go like that?” I was upset. “That shows it Liam.” I walked past him and went upstairs. I didn’t go to my room; I went to one of the spare rooms.

That’s it me and Liam are over.

The babies and I are leaving in the morning; I’ll go back to my old flat. I laid in bed, and hoped Liam would come say sorry. I heard the bedroom door shut and I waited a bit to see if he was sleeping.

I tip toed to the master room and quietly opened the door, he was fast asleep. I grabbed some of my clothes and put it in a bag. I went to the babies’ room and packed their bags as while. I put them in their carriers and carried them out.

I knew the only past I could go just for the night.

P.O.V Niall

I woke up from the buzzing of the bell. It was 2 in the morning. I opened the door, and was shocked to see Cortnee and the babies. “Come in,” I moved out of the way and grabbed Taylor’s seat. I placed it in the living and told Cortnee to come into the kitchen.

“What happened” I asked her. “We broke up, for good this time” She put her hands on her face. “He just gave up” she explained. “Can I just stay for the night, and we will be gone, in the morning.” She asked. “Of course.”

I realized that I was only wearing my boxers. “Sorry I don’t have any clothes on” I chuckled nervously. Her face was all red. “You can stay as long as you want, love” I walked her to Liam’s old room, and brought the babies in there as well.

I went to the living, because I know I won’t be able to sleep.

My phone started to ring, it was Liam “is she there?” he rushed out “Yes, but don’t come, I think she is sleeping” I told him “I’m only coming to get the babies” I said angry “Liam stop,” he hung up the phone before I finished my sentence. “Great” I walked to the room Cortnee is in, and she was wake. “Hey.” I said, she was crying.

“I am going to Florida.” She told me. “When?” I was confused; I knew they could make up. “Tomorrow.” She sighed. “You can’t” I told her, “I have to,” she sat up. “Liam is on his way. You two makeup” I told her, “No please don’t let him in” she begged.

Before I knew it, the door opened “Niall” Liam shouted. “No” she mumbled. She sat on the floor with the babies. Liam appeared at the door. “Why did you take them with you.” He confronted her. “Why would I leave them, if you don’t want us there.” She said quietly. “I said you could leave if you aren’t happy.” He said from the door. “Liam, you aren’t even home” she said standing up. “Well, that’s what happen when you’re in a boy band” he told her, a little angry. “Calm down.” I told him.

“Liam, we are going to Florida” she said pointing the babies. “No, you can but they can’t.” He shook his head. “No Liam, I won’t let them stay here, to have a nanny.” She sighed, rubbing her eyes. I had to get out of this room.

P.O.V Liam

She will not take those babies with her. “You are stable to have kids” I said to hurt her a bit. “What does that mean.” She huffed. “Look at your arms.” She had scars, “look at your legs.” More scars. “Fuck you Liam, leave” she cried.

“Liam, you past the line.” Niall said. He pulled me out of the room. “If you actually loved her, you wouldn’t have said those things. Let it go and leave.” He said. “Niall, she is going to take them from me.” I knew he already knew that. “Yeah, because you’re the one that isn’t stable” that snapped me. “You have been ignoring her. You say you are recording all day. You go out and hang out with us and not be home.” He was right. “What…” Cortnee said behind us. “You lied.” The tears stream down her face. “I was about to say sorry.” She said.

I just broke her heart; I promised I wouldn’t do that. “Why…” she fell to her knees again and cried into her hands. Niall didn’t let me comfort her. “leave.” He said. I didn’t want to. I needed to say sorry. “Cortnee, I am sorry.” I said while I was getting pushed out the door.

P.O.V Harry

My phone started to ring; it was 5 in the morning. “Hello” I said sleepily. “Harry” I heard crying. “Cortnee, where are you?” I asked her quickly. “Niall’s” she sobbed out. “Be there in a minute.”

What happened why was she crying and calling me.
