Christmas Party

Riley's P.O.V

Tonight was the night of the Christmas party at Markus parents place. I was nervous because I would be meeting a lot of people, I was feeling a little anxious as I stood in front of the mirror finishing getting ready. I soon felt a pair of arms wrap around my hips, a chin on my shoulder....Denny.

"You look good baby. Would you relax?" he whispered in my ear

"I can't help it. Are you sure I look OK?" I said looking at him in the mirror

"Yes. You look good in anything my love." He whispered, kissing my neck softly, making me groan

I smiled at him, reaching my hand behind me, running it over his cheek. His eyes closed over, a smile growing on his lips. I was utterly smitten with this man and the last week we have become closer than ever and even though we have not made anything official we have been acting more like a couple rather than dating, none of us saying it, it has just been happening. I turned around to face him, wrapping my arms around his neck, his falling on my hips and I reached forward, placing my lips over his in a soft kiss

"Eww Denny and Riley are kissing again." we heard April's voice come from the door "You are always kissing." She added giggling before skipping off

I giggled into Denny's lips as he chuckled. He pulled me tighter against him, kissing me harder for a moment before we pulled apart, Denny winking at me.

"Ready to go?" he smiled

"Yes." I smiled back

He reached for my hand as we headed downstairs to meet April, Jean and Jeans partner Harry was waiting for us, Harry driving us there cause he doesn't drink.

"Ready?" Jeans smiled and we nodded

We were soon on our way, arriving at Markus parents house which wasn't too far from Denny's house. Denny had his arm around my waist, keeping me close to him as we headed in. There was a lot of people already here, everyone coming over to greet everyone, Denny introducing me to everyone and everyone seemed nice enough which made me relax. Next thing we seen Markus coming over, looking out of sorts.

"Buddy you OK?" Denny asked

"I am sorry. I never knew she was coming. I don't even know who she is here with." He said sounding a little panicked.

Denny looked at him confused, nodding behind him. We looked up, seeing who he was talking about and there she was...Silver, standing there laughing and joking looking stunning, making me feel self-conscious. I felt Denny's full body tense at the sight of her. I looked at Jean, her full face changed from the smile she came with, she looked mad...looked like she wanted to go over and kill her. I felt Denny relax after a moment

"It's fine. I couldn't care less that she is here." He shrugged

"Really?" Jean asked

"Yes mom, stop worrying and looking like you wanna kill her." Denny chuckled "I don't feel anything seeing her here." He added

I looked at him, not sure if I believed him or not. They were together a long time. He must have sensed me looking at him cause he turned to me, reaching in and kissing me softly

"I honestly don't care baby. I am here with you and that means more to me than her." He said

I smiled, nodding, relaxing a little. I looked up, seeing Silver coming towards us. The closer she got the more I seen how beautiful she is. I would look a mess next to her. I felt my body tense the closer she got, a stupid smile on her lips. Denny reached for my hand, squeezing it, smiling at me
