Nate sauntered down the hallway with the air of arrogance and confidence. He looked so heartbreakingly handsome that the girls sighed at the sight of him. He didn't even glance their way. But he knew he had them all wrapped up in his finger. Or his dick. He welcomes anyone with nice racks and asses for a night of sexual satiation. But Michael denied the latter, saying that since Nate had met me, those nights were gone. I scoffed at this. Matt and Michael were walking behind him and they receive equal attention as Nate did.
Michael winked at a bunch of cheerleaders who were ogling him and slowly took a bite out of his Mars bar. The girls squealed and one girl looked as if she was hyperventilating. Michael had this flamboyant nature of swinging to one girl to the next. He was probably the biggest player among the trio but when I learned about his deep, dark secret, he was probably doing it for his own sake rather than for his pleasure.
Matt's face was on the PSP he was playing and he had his headset on. He gave off an indifferent attitude and that made him very appealing to the ladies. His calmness and coolness was a dead turn-on. Even though they knew Matt had a girlfriend already, that didn't stop them from trying to flirt with him openly. But even before he dated Misha, he never really flirted back. But he welcomed casual sex, as what they liked to call it. But for now, and maybe forever, he was with Misha and I knew that he was really faithful to her.
The crowd parted as they passed. The girls swooned. The guys looked at them with envy. I frowned at them from my position by my locker. Seriously? They were all idiots for wanting them or to be them. Why don't they just live their lives instead of wasting time daydreaming about these morons? Or do charity work by donating old stuffs to an orphanage? Or cook porridge for the less fortunate to eat? Those would be very productive. And it would do great in their college applications, I thought.
As I was pondering about these, Nate happened to turn to my direction. I saw recognition flash in his eyes. Uh-oh. Too conspicuous. I didn't want to be the center of attention again. But seeing as I had little time to make my escape, I gripped my book firmly as he wandered towards me.
"Ellie!" he called out brightly.
I winced inwardly. Crap, people were staring at me now. The girls glared at me and the guys smirked. I gave them a glare of my own and they reluctantly turned back but I could tell they were stealing glances at us.
"I missed you so much..." Nate trailed off, stretching his arms out to engulf me in a hug. I smacked my book to his face to stop him. And I didn't take it away because he was still trying to hug me.
"Stay away." I hissed through gritted teeth.
"Oh, come on," he whined but he did took a step back to my relief. "Just one hug, Ellen. One hug."
"Pervert." I muttered in a disgusted tone.
"Aww..." Michael cooed. "Just let him, Ellen. He just wants to express his deep, unfading love for you."
I gave Michael a glare, missing the dark look Nate threw at him at the same time. He snickered. Gosh, they were so immature. They never fail to annoy me.
"Cut it out, guys," Misha said as she walked over to us with a pout. Matt smiled and wove his hand to hers, tugging her closer to him. I gave Misha a grateful look but it turned into a glare when she just had to add, "Nate, if you want to express your love for her, this really isn't the right time and place for it. Maybe a romantic candlelight dinner for two should do it."
Michael covered his mouth to hide his grin. Nate shifted uncomfortably. Misha grinned innocently at me. Because she was just too sweet and precious for me to harm, I turned to Matt instead and gave him a punch on the arm.
