Phoenix
I woke up this morning to Colby shaking me slightly. I groaned as I opened my eyes to see him wearing a black suit.
"Good morning Mr Smart" I said as I sat up.
"Come on. My family is coming to visit" he said, sitting down.
"No Colby. They'll hate me" I said, putting my head in my hands.
"I don't care, they'll have to deal with it because I like you" he said, helping me out of bed.
"What do I wear?" I asked, sighing.
"A red dress. Because it's a dinner party" he said, walking to the door.
"Oh god. I hate dresses" I said, looking in my wardrobe.
"Oh shut up" he said, leaving.
I sighed as I flopped down on my bed. There was a knock at the door and I turned over.
"You ok Nix?" Katrina asked, looking at me.
I sat up and saw Kyra, Devyn and Katrina.
"No. Colby's parents are coming over and because I'm a werewolf they'll hate me. I never told Colby this because I was scared he'd hate me. Those people Jackson killed. They were my adoptive parents. Not my blood parents. They were... werewolves. Alongside my sisters, Shea being one of them, Cheryl and Scarlett, and my brothers, Toby, PJ, Alyx, and Harvey. Like Colby's family, who were cursed to be vampires, my family was cursed to be werewolves. Jackson took me, because he knew what I was. Colby doesn't. He couldn't have. My family will know that I am around vampires. They can sense it. This isn't going to go down well. Please inform the others" I said, looking at them.
"We need to tell Colby too" Devyn said.
"No. He'll hate me" I said, grabbing her.
"He won't. He needs to know. He can call off the dinner party" Kyra said, looking at me.
I let Devyn go and they rushed around the castle. I got changed into a dress and locked the door hoping it would keep Colby. I bay. I paced around my room and the door burst open. Colby looked at me with his eyes shining bright blue.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked, flashing his fangs.
"Because I knew you'd hate me" I said, trying to hold back my anger.
"I could've called it off if I knew. But now they're here so come on. I'll meet you downstairs" he said leaving.
"Ok. I'll be down in a few" I said sitting down on the bed.
I placed around some more before I plucked up the courage to go downstairs. I walked downstairs and saw Colby, his mom, dad and brother. I smiled as they looked my way.
"And who might this model be?" His mom asked.
"Mom this is the female chosen one Phoenix. Nix you look" Colby said as I walked to them.
"You look ravishing. I'm Gage. Colby's brother" Gage said kissing the back of my hand.
"I can see where Colby and Gage both get their looks from. It's nice to meet you. Mr. Brock. Mrs. Brock" I said curtsying.
"And such magnificent manners" Mr Brock said.
I smiled as I looked down. There was a knock at the dining room hall doors.
"Come in" Colby said as we all looked in the direction of the doors.
"Sorry to intrude sir but a Mr and Mrs Burton would like to speak with you" one of Colby's compelled human doormen said opening the doors.
"Oh god" I said sighing.
He jolted forward as he turned pale. He fell to the floor and behind him was my father.
"I'm back!" He said throwing the heart of the doorman on the floor.
"Trevor, Alice, what're you doing here?" Mr Brock asked standing with me.
"Someone here is going to be surprised to see us" my mom said singing slightly.
"What're you doing here mami?" I asked looking at her.
"We were just wondering what the fuck you think you were doing with a vampire" my eldest brother Harvey said grabbing me.
"You don't want to annoy me right now Harv" I said pushing him away.
"She's a werewolf?" Gage asked looking at me.
"Yeah she is. Can't you guys just put your differences aside please?" Colby asked taking his jacket off.
"No we can't" Toby said grabbing Colby.
"You shouldn't have done that" Colby said biting him.
He fell to the floor. Gage grabbed me and I threw him across the room. He hissed at me as I growled at him. (Ok I'm listening to Niall Horan This Town right now whilst I'm writing a fight scene). He ran at me and I punched him. I looked over at Colby and I's parents who were fighting each other. Mom against mom. Dad against dad. Sam, Brennen, and Corey had all come and started fighting Alyx, PJ and Toby. And Kyra and Kat were fighting my sisters. Me and Gage were against each other. And Harvey and Colby against each other.
"I am trying to not kill you right now for the sake of Colby because I don't want to ruin your sweet little family" I said as he punched me.
"Too bad" he said grabbing a knife and slitting my throat, "because I don't care about it".
I fell to the floor.
Brennen
As soon as PJ was on the floor I was wondering where Phoenix was. Gage ran at me and I threw him through the main window. We got rid of Colby and Phoenix's families and everyone was on the floor tired. I was walking around looking for Phoenix. We heard a huge scream from one of the floors upstairs. It was in the parlour. I looked up and saw Tatiana looking down. I looked in front of me and saw Phoenix's dead body on the floor. I ran to her. There was nothing I could do.
"Colby!" I yelled as my echoes were heard through the castle.
Everyone was soon downstairs.
"What's happened to her?" Charlie asked as him and Tati ran to me and Phoenix.
Kyle and Skyler grabbed them.
"Kids she's gonna be ok go upstairs please" Alex said as he ran them to their room.
Colby came into the room. He walked to us and fell to his knees. He took Phoenix into his arms and cried. We were all silent. Colby had never cried since 2018. He looked at the knife that had been shoved in her stomach one she had been slit in her throat. He clenched his teeth and looked at me.
"Who did it?" I asked as he studied the knife.
"Gage" he said growling.
He made his neck click.
"Take her off my hands as I go kill my brother" he said as he passed me Phoenix's body.
Sam
Colby ran but I grabbed him
"Sam let me go" he said with tears in his eyes.
"Killing Gage isn't going to bring her back is it?" I asked looking at him
"She's gone. My everything" he said as he sobbed.
I hugged him tightly as he cried. I helped him upstairs and we put Phoenix in our castle's tomb. Explaining what happened to her was the hardest thing to do when you have to tell Tati and Charlie.
