♢♧●Death. Heartbreak. Neither is avoidable.●♧♢

Ava paced the floor anxiously, waiting any moment for the door to slam open, or to hear gunshots, or to be tackled to the floor. She really did regret what she did, but Ava knew that didn't matter. That won't bring Chanel back. But she promised herself she wouldn't fight back, she couldn't, she needed to redeem herself. Even if redeeming herself meant dying in the process. Estella was still passed out, locked in the storage room. Ava made sure she wouldn't be able to get out, she couldn't risk Estella killing anybody. Suddenly she heard footsteps approaching outside the door, jumping slightly. Ava was on the verge of crying, were these really her last moments? She put down her sword, furthered herself from any guns, and stood weaponless in the middle of the room.

The door swung open, revealing Katrina in the front, followed by Mason and Grace trailing behind her. Katrina held up her gun, pointing it at Ava's head.

"Didn't think I was coming back, did you?" Katrina said with a stoic face, trying to keep it together.

"I knew." Ava replied shortly. She was terrified, but barely showed it.

"So what, is Estella going to come out and surprise attack me?" Katrina asked, her face scrunching as she realized the extent of her anger. She stepped closer to Ava, dangerously close.

"No." Ava said, shutting her eyes tight for a moment.

"She's locked in the storage room." Ava sighed, motioning towards the barricaded door. Katrina looked to her in confusion, them suspicion.

"What kind of sick game is this.." Grace muttered from behind Katrina.

"It isn't a game," Ava said, tearing up.

"I regret what I did, but I know it doesn't matter. Kill me if you want, I'm not attacking. I need to redeem myself somehow. I knocked out Estella and locked her in the storage room, she didn't agree to kill Chanel for more than just to see someone suffer. She is a psychotic and I knew if I let her do what she wanted she'd kill all of us right as you stepped in the door." Ava said, hoping she wouldn't get shot right then.

"You mean so she wouldn't kill you." Mason persisted.

"So she wouldn't kill anyone! Why do you think I don't have a weapon?" Ava yelled. The three seemed to just have realized that Ava was unarmed.

"You prepared for an execution.." Grace said quietly with wide eyes in disbelief.

"This can't be happening.. Another person can't die!" Grace shouted in tears. Katrina turned to Grace,

"I agreed to come here only to kill her, Grace. You knew this." Katrina argued.

"I thought I could talk you out of it.. Frankly.." Grace trailed off.

"Grace..say it." Mason urged. Grace sighed, sniffling.

"Frankly I was ready to jump in front of a bullet to make sure no one got killed. If I died, maybe..just maybe you two would stop.." Grace began to cry, burying her face in Mason's shoulder. Katrina's face softened for a moment.

"Grace.." Katrina sighed and looked down.

"I'm sorry." Katrina's face went cold once again. She raised her gun, her finger about to pull the trigger.

"No!" Mason shouted as he pulled away from Grace and attempted to push Katrina down. As she fell, attention drew to Mason, the gun's barrel found target at Mason's heart. A gunshot rang as a body toppled to the floor.

Katrina dropped her gun in terror, covering her mouth with her hands as her eyes welled up in tears.

"No.. no no no no.." Katrina's voice wavered.

Grace stood frozen, eyes locked on Mason's motionless body.

"M-mason..?" She said squeakily.

Ava's jaw dropped.

"Oh my god.." She breathily exclaimed. A sudden banging sounded from the storage room.

"LET ME OUT."
