I'm sitting with my back against the wall
And I can't tell which vibrations scare me the most
The ones from the raging storm outside
The ones from the hurricane downstairs in my kitchen
Or the ones from the tsunami in my heart
I'm sitting on my desk watching the lightning as it strikes the sky
And I can't tell who is bleeding the most
The sky with its hot, angry tears
The picture I tried to paint of you
Or me
I'm laying in bed with my head under the sheets
And I can't tell which is harder
Trying to drown out the brass section of the storm outside
Trying to ignore our last words repeating in my head
Or trying to keep my breathing steady
-
Short, but I like the way it sounds how it already is.
