Contrary to what Tom Hanks said previously
Life is not like a box of chocolates
It's more like an ocean
You make your way in at your own pace
The chilling water slowing getting to you
But you get use to it
And keep moving on
Knee deep
Baby waves splash at your calves
And your feet start to sink in the sand
Yet you keep walking in
Your body is now immune to the temperature
The cold has become a normal thing now
Shells are poking at your toes
Reminding you that going further
Means that it's easier to get hurt and fall
Waist deep
Waves are knocking you side to side
Tipping you off your feet temporarily
It takes you a moment or two to get back your footing
Your mom is trying to coax you back out of the sea
But you tell yourself that you can handle it alone
The waves are getting bigger and stronger now
And the rip tide is pulling you farther away
Only the tips of your toes can feel the grainy sand now
As your arms rotate in a attmpt to keep you breathing
You are so far out now, your mother's voice is unheard of
The lifeguards are blowing their whistle
But the crash of near by waves are no help to the cause
On your own now
The rough seed weed clinging to your ankles
Pulling you down with each splash
Already in too deep
Your body can't turn back when a wave the size of the world comes down on you
Knocking out the only air left in you
Pulling you under
Forcing its salty water down your throat
Chocking you with its vengeful taste
Until you can't tell tears from ocean water
Throwing your beat up body to the ground
Cutting you with all the past shells you had forgotten
And leaving your mangled body on the shore for on-lookers to stare at
Like a dried out jellyfish, they only look
Never touch
Eventually thrown back into the waters only to rehash the past
As a courtesy to the other beach residents
And when you are washed up yet again
Who will be the one to pull you out and dry you off?

So, this is the end of my second poem book on Wattpad. After almost three years of being apart of this website, I never would have thought I would have reached this level of recognition. I owe everything to you guys, my 'fans', so to speak. Your messages and comments make posting my inner thoughts worth it. I can not thank you enough for all the love and support you have given me, I love you all so much.
Even though I will be working on a different project, poetry will always find a way into my work. This is not the last of me, I promise.
