"Go away," you groaned.

A soft knock responded, though this time it seemed a little more aggressive.

"You don't scare me. Go away," you repeated.

The visitor pushed open the door, letting himself in.

He wore a black turtleneck you would expect to see on a cheesy spy show. His black sweatpants were not flattering, but then again, you gave him props for trying. His hair was dark, sleek, and shiny. It was well-groomed and in a low ponytail. The long ponytail rested on his shoulder, reaching his stomach. His skin was the color of desert sand, yet was smooth like a marble. You kinda wanted to reach out and touch it, but you thought it would be better to know who he was first.

Before you could begin to ask who he was, he put a gloved finger to his lips. He pressed his other palm against the door, but you were so flustered you didn't think to fight against it. You backed away from him into a dresser as he let himself in, easing the door closed behind him.

He sighed. "You were doing so well, (Y/N). You were following all the instructions, saying all the right things, but when questioned, you just froze up."

Suddenly, the scene all made sense. "Hunter?" you asked.

"(Y/N), we were so close to getting through the first day. But, you were too desperate when you spoke. You shouldn't have been so scared and tense," he lectured. His belittling expression was no longer attractive. You did not want to touch it.

You shifted, grabbing the edges of the dresser behind you.

Hunter's eyes dropped, but not before you could see the gathering shine they had. "But I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more. I shouldn't have thrown you in the middle of the action without properly training you to lie and act. You did your best, which is all I asked for, but..."

"I am so sorry, Hunter. I didn't realize how tense I was. Look, I'll fix it. I'll explain to Annabeth that I heard something that triggered something in me that caused me to have an episode. It's fine, I can convince her," you pleaded.

"No, (Y/N)...it's too late for that. The mission is already failed. Leader sent me to destroy all evidence of the failure."

"What do you mean?" you asked. You could feel your heart jumping.

"All of the evidence. You see, Plan A was to slowly convince the demigods to join our side because they are more useful to us if they are on our side. But, now that they will not join our side since they won't trust you, they are more useful to us dead."

"What about me? I swear, I won't tell anyone about any of this," you pleaded.

"All evidence of the failure must be destroyed. That includes you, the agent, and--"

A roaring rage enveloped all sound. Everything was unbearably hot, and then nothing at all.

Chapter 6: Revive (This time, calm down and don't be desperate.)
