You sat up in bed. "Come in."

The visitor pushed open the door, letting himself in.

He wore a black turtle neck you would expect to see on a cheesy spy show. His black sweatpants were not flattering, but then again, you gave him props for trying. His hair was dark, sleek, and shiny. It was well-groomed and in a low ponytail. The long ponytail rested on his shoulder, reaching his stomach. His skin was the color of desert sand, yet was smooth like a marble. You kinda wanted to reach out and touch it, but you thought it would be better to know who his was first.

Before you could begin to ask who he was, he put a gloved finger to his lips. He pressed his other palm against the door, but you were so flustered you didn't think to fight against it. You backed away from him into a dresser as he let himself in, easing the door closed behind him.

He sighed as he released the doorknob. "You were doing so well, (Y/N). You were following all the instructions. You were saying all the right things. But you froze up when questioned."

Suddenly, the scene made sense. "Hunter?" you asked.

"(Y/N), we were so close to getting through the first day. But, when questioned, you were too desperate to convince them. You shouldn't have been so scared and tense," he explained. His belittling expression repelled you. You no longer wanted to touch it.

You shifted, gripping the edges to the dresser behind you.

Hunter's eyes dropped, but not before you could see their gathering shine. "But I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more. I shouldn't have thrown you in the middle of the action without proper training you to lie and act. You did your best, which is all I asked for, but..."

"I'm...I'm so sorry, Hunter. I didn't realize how tense I was. Look, I can fix this. I'll explain to Annabeth that something triggered an episode in me. It's fine, I can convince her," you pleaded.

"No, (Y/N)...it's too late. Annabeth is about to send word to her superiors about her suspicions. Once we don't have the element of surprise, our chances of changing the world are lowered." He sighed, wiping his eyes. He looked up with dried tears. "Leader has sent me to destroy all evidence of the failure."

"What do you mean?" you asked. You could feel your heart jumping.

"All the evidence. Plan A was to convince them to join our side because not only would they not be in our way, they would help us. But, now that won't happen, so it's time to go to Plan B."

You squinted, unaware of how else to get them out of the way. There were too many of them for him to take alone. "I don't understand how you plan to get them out of the way."

"All evidence of the failure must be destroyed. That includes you, the agent, and--"

"It wasn't my plan. Leader instructed me to do this. She said it would get them out of the way and destroy all evidence so it's like your mission never happened."

Before you could ask anything, a bright white filled your vision. Everything was unbearably hot, then nothing at all.

A bomb went off, getting the crew out of Leader's way and destroying all evidence of the mission.
