The bewildered Marinette awoke to observe her lover embracing her. She provided an affectionate smile in return before she could process what he had previously said; as the female realized what he said, her grin gradually faded to a neutral expression.
"Wait, what?" The bluenette queried her boyfriend, the feline hero rubbing his eyes while she asked.
"Yeah, I'm sorry for waking you. I wanted to let you know.. I'm confident enough to reveal my identity to you." Chat nervously beamed, attempting to conceal his anxious tendencies.
Marinette's heart raced, feeling like it was going to beat out of her chest if she didn't respond in a couple of seconds. What if Chat is a pervert? She thought, her mind swirling with questions. No, that's impossible. He's too tender-hearted, amusing, and adorable.
"I.." Marinette commenced hesitantly, making eye contact with Chat. "I think I'm ready." She supplied him with a minuscule nod of approval.
"Plagg, detransform me." His disguise disappeared in an instant, his kwami flying behind his Miraculous holder to prevent himself from feeling second-hand embarrassment. Instead of Chat Noir lying next to Marinette, it was now Adrien Agreste, Paris' supermodel and her former crush.
"A-Adrien?" She gasped in surprise, clasping her hands over her mouth.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I apologize for rejecting you in the street that night. I truly am sorry, I hope you forgive me." He awaited a response from his, probably, future wife.
Marientte remained stunned, too shocked to be distressed at his previous actions. "Y-You're forgiven."
"Now, what did I say, Marinette?" The bluenette turned her attention to her kwami, Tikki winking at her and Marinette rolling her bluebell eyes in response.
"Hmm, whatcha looking at? Your kwami?" Adrien gave her a soft smile, a smile that was purely meant for her. Her cheeks flushed a cherry color and she averted her gaze from his dreamy appearance.
"O-Oh, it's nothing." She replied quietly, remaining in her position on her bed. Adrien shrugged off her sudden silence, wrapping his arms protectively around Marinette's stomach.
Even though I rejected her on that street out of panic, finally she's mine.. he thought, satisfied that he overcame his fear of hiding his identity to his beloved. Life is what I want it to be right now.. perfection.
Adrien sighed, filled with delight. Marinette witnessed her fiancé delving into his thoughts, giggling at the sight. "What was that sigh for, kitten? Aren't you pleased yet?"
She rubbed his thigh teasingly, tugging the waistband of his jeans. He glanced at her, forcing Marinette to make eye contact with him once more. "You understand we're not making the same mistake again, right?"
"Yeah, I know." She attempted to appear saddened.
"Cheer up, M'Lady, I'll continue serving you with unlimited kisses. All you have to do is ask. They're free just for you~." Adrien commenced showering soft kisses on Marinette's cheeks, making her blush furthermore.
After ten minutes, they glanced over at her digital clock located on her nightstand. The clock read three twenty one a.m., so understanding what this meant, Adrien dispensed her a disheartened gape.
"Princess, I have to go now. My new 'sister' might become curious and peek in my room to see what I'm doing, I'll catch you later, so don't worry." Adrien swiftly kissed her lips, transforming back into Chat Noir.
He departed with ease, exiting through Marinette's balcony window. She sighed dreamily, her eyes reflecting the night sky, the array of stars twinkling with gratification.
"You two were really meant for each other, huh?" Tikki giggled, Marinette lightly nudging her in return.
"Oh hush already." Marinette rolled her eyes for the second time that night, directly at Tikki.
"You know, I hope he'll propose to me one day. I truly believe he's the one for me."
