Shiro
I was given permission by tita to use their kitchen to cook food. He thought it to me before, after my sister got sick. Madali lang siyang lutuin and hopely it tastes good, too.
I was chopping ingredients when Yuki showed up in the kitchen. He still has the scowl expression in his face that he had a while ago. I heard what he said about me earlier. It's true wala akong pagnanasa sa kapatid niya. That would be terribly wrong.
At the very least, he doesn't know what I feel about his sister...
"Please take care of Shiro while I'm gone," pakiusap niya, leaning against the doorframe.
"No problem Yuki. You know I will not let anything bad happen to Shiro. You know that better than anybody else," I assured him.
"You're absent in her life for seven years. It's not easy to trust someone who disappeared and suddenly came back to her life like that. Even if it's you," he pointed.
"Isn't that why I'm trying to redeem myself," I mumbled.
"That's why I'm counting on you on taking care of her," He said. "And I also know that you think of her more than just a friend."
I paused, my hand stopping from chopping. "Don't you ever mention it to her."
"Oh, I won't."
I really thought I was able to fool him but I guess I'm not. My actions do speak of it, which, definitely can't be helped.
"If you try hurting my sister I'm sure you'll regret it," he warned me. "See you later, perhaps future brother-in-law," he joked.
He also smirked after that. I feel my ears turning red from the sudden remark. That guy is really gets on my nerves sometimes. I might probably kick him one of these days.
"By the way, asan research paper mo?
He left and closed the door after leaving the house.
I told her our situation and that me and Shiro will be absent for the day. I even pleaded for her to finish the paperworks along with the rest of the council. Syempre, gaya ng inaasahan, she didn't agree easily. But since it was a reasonable excuse she let it slide.

He entered the room, along with a tray of food. My breakfast. He even insisted na subuan ako but I'm not letting him do so. It's embarrassing.
I don't have enough strength to do it right now. And I'm currently being bothered by the fact of papa's arrival and the books and all things related to it.
"You look bothered, anong meron?" alalang tanong ni Reiki.
"It's nothing."
Can't he let it slide for once? Just once? At dahil nga wala akong lakas makipagtalo, I answered his question truthfully. He listened to it and understood immediately what bothers me.
