Shiro
The "Dance of the Flame" one not the other one.
And like I was expecting, most of the writings are in ancient scripture. Luckily, the book seemed to be enchanted with a translation spell.
I've been busy reading it ever since I woke up after eating lunch. It was about five in the evening now at kanina pa nakauwi si mama. Despite that, Reiki felt at home and asked ma a favor to take care of me until I recover.
Speaking of, the guy was sleeping softly beside me. Sitting on a chair, his upper body slouched down on my bed. One arm supporting as a pillow while the other extended, squeezing my hand yet again.
I gazed at him, absorbed by his gorgeous face. What am I saying? And yet, here I am, staring straight at his face. What am I even doing? I don't know.
My mind is getting ahead of itself.
"S-Shiro... I li—"
He woke up with a frown on his face. He turned to check the person responsible for waking him and his face drastically changed after seeing the person standing on the door. From a frown face to a nervous smile.
"Pa!"
His grimace expression changed into a gentle, gleeful expression as he rushed his way to my side. I missed him so much I couldn't take it.
"I miss you, Shiro, I heard you have a fever. Please take care of yourself next time, okay?" he said while squeezing me into his arms.
"Opo pa, hindi na mauulit," wika ko. Humiwalay siya sa yakap namin at muling ibinalik ang tingin kay Reiki, with his grimace-look back.
"I heard you've regain your memories?" he interrogated.
"Yes, tito," Reiki's face straightened and not a hint of wavering cross through it.
He and papa never changed. They were always like that. In the end, the both of them get along pretty well like son and father. The scenario made my eyes roll. Pa smiled in either a sneer or a genuine one. "I'm glad."
Both of us flinched in the sudden outburst of smile and looked at each other confused. We let it slide as another heap of footsteps draw closer to my room. From the sound of it, sigurado akong sila 'yon.
Sabay-sabay silang pumasok sa kwarto wearing a worried and scowl expression. I don't know if they're worried about me or mad because I left them hanging on the paperworks.
"You better pay us ten fold for finishing those piles of papers," Alfred nagged the moment he stepped inside the room.
"Tama, tama," Anne agreed.
"'Wag nga kayong ganyang dalawa 'di ba kayo nag-alala kay Shiro," Mai hissed.
"Are you alright? I could use my magic for you if you want," Hya suggested.
