Half an hour later, at the dead of the night, he stood at the bus stop with two bags, one with Jin's special chicken and the other with 2 cans of beer. Taehyung was a guy quite resilient to the cold, but even he couldn't bear the chilliness of the night. His chapped lips quivering, and his knees slightly trembling, he waited a little less patiently for the bus. As the yellow of the headlights shone on his face, he turned to see it approaching and hurriedly clambered in as it halted at his out stretched hand. The bus was unusually empty and he only then realized that strangely, so was the bus stop and also that convenience store he dropped by before walking here earlier. Even the traffic on the street was so minimal, it didn't feel like a Friday night at all. Maybe it was the harsh winter that kept everyone in their homes. Taehyung pulled his jacket around his body a little tighter before sitting down at the last seat and pulling his black cap down further to avoid any light getting into his eye.
As the bus went forward the city zoomed past him moving further and further into the housing estates. In between a couple got in and then got off after maybe 2 stops?, but other than that the bus was entirely empty. If not for the incident earlier tonight, the silence and solitude of tonight would have been perfect. But no matter how much Taehyung tried he couldn't stop thinking about you and how you might be. It was useless to think about you and he knew it. 7 billion people in the world and he wasn't responsible for all of them. It wasn't his job to save any and all person he comes across. He had slammed the car breaks fast enough to not crash into you and had already saved your life once. He did his part to save you. But every time he remembered the pleading in your eyes he couldn't help but want to slap himself. So sleep was the only solution, the only way he could stop thinking.
Just as he fluttered his eyes shut, the bus came to a halt and the creak of the door sliding opened echoed before the sound of soft footsteps took over. Taehyung opened his eyes at the noise and didn't know if he instantly regretted it or not.
Standing before him was the one woman he was not looking forward to meet ever again, your words replaying in front of him all over again.
Save me.

The buildings were tight together and loomed over you, like a forest of stone. When you looked up the roofs were so close together that you could only make out a sliver of the black sky that was mirrored by the tiny stream of light that trickled along the cold stone ground. The alleyway twisted and turned back on itself, first going to the right, then to the left. From where you stood, whether you look in front or behind, you saw nothing but stone.
As you walked between the walls that were too high for you to bother seeking the almost black sky, you kicked small stones with each stride, unable to lift your foot, dragging it as you walked in pain. As you left the street, the lampposts casted your shadow like black over deepest charcoal; by midway it had bled out. From the apartments came noises, not so much as in the daytime but all the louder for the absence of light and the quieter traffic. Soon you noticed the yellow beams of the lampposts ahead, without a conscious thought the grip on your dress loosened a little, as did your stride.
Finding the bus stop before you, you quickened you pace just about in time as the bus arrived, halting as the driver stopped you. Your eyes were so blurry you had no idea what the number was, you had no idea where it went. You only knew you had to sit down before your knees gave away and just go somewhere far, far away since you had no destination anyways.
As the doors slid open you took a careful step inside, picking a few bills from the purse in your dress pocket and dropped it in the box. When you raised your eyes you realized the bus was empty, eyes almost missing the lean, tall man sitting all the way at the back, face hidden under the shadow of his cap. You had no idea if he was good or not. You had no idea if you should stay or run. You had no idea if he was one who would aid you or destroy you. You just knew that by now you didn't care. You were tired of running towards something and running away from something else. Right now you wished no more than he would take you away.
