Taehyung bit into his bread as he looked at you still staring at the knife he used. You must be daunted by it. Judging by the wounds you had on your body, some of them were definitely made by a knife. Looking at it must make you feel afraid. But you didn't really look scared. You stared at it blankly, like you've been through so much with it, that it barely even affected you anymore. And that hurt Taehyung even more. Your eyes were looking at it with the same intensity that you looked at everything with. A piercing intensity that Taehyung still couldn't comprehend. Earlier too when you were standing across the room looking at him, Taehyung didn't understand if it was fascination, or casual observation or a strange way of judging him. He didn't know whether even if he looked for longer if he would be able to comprehend what your gaze meant. If not for that darn news of murder that happened day before morning that was being broadcasted, he would have perhaps found out if ever he could read you. But he was worried that you might be more disturbed by the news of such violence given the events recently in your life so grudgingly he turned it off, breaking that little connection he was starting to have with you.

Within minutes you were done eating and so was he, so the two of you just sat across each other, over a counter of empty plates, an awkward silence taking over. Taehyung was just about to ask something when you looked up at him biting your lip.

"I know you have a lot of questions."

"Yes."

"And considering how much you helped me you probably even think you deserve some answers."

"I think I do."

"But I'm sorry." You hang your head a little to avoid looking him in the eye. "I don't think I can give you any answers Taehyung."

Taehyung blinked at you a little surprised. He was hoping to get a little insight into whatever was going on with you. How was he to help you if he didn't know anything? And helping you wasn't a selfless reason. In fact it was very selfish. It was a need to prove to himself that he wasn't a coward. He needed to do this to be able to live in peace again.

"And I also won't be trespassing on your hospitality anymore. I -"

"You're in danger Y/n."

"I know. And now possibly you as well. And I can't have that happening. I can't have another person be in danger because of me. I need to do this on my own I -"

"You can't Y/n. Who you are running from aren't small people. The Crux aren't easy to hide from. If they want to find you, they will -"

Your head snapped up, eyes narrowing at what he said. "What did you say?"

Taehyung looked confused blinking a little. "That if they wanted to find you they will -"

"No before that. What did you call them?"

"The Crux?"

"Yeah, how do you know who they are?" Taehyung found himself once more under that intense gaze of yours and swallowed on nothing, not obvious enough for you to notice, but enough to tell him once more that he was a coward. Of course he knew them. Of course he did.

"Everyone know's the Crux Y/n. They are one of the biggest gang in town -"

"Yes even I heard about them when I came to this town but how did you know that the people chasing me are the Crux?"

Your question was justified. You tensely gripping the fork was justified, you looking like you might just stab him with it was totally justified. Taehyung slowly took the fork from your grip.

"I saw them chase you. Earlier last night you nearly got hit by my car." Your frown reduced a little as you perhaps remembered the incident. "The men who were chasing you were branded with the snake tattoos the members of the Crux usually have on their arms. That's how I know."
