Save Me? I'm Fine.

Chapter 12

Taehyung's immediate response was to reach for the little pen knife he had on the tea table beside. He was half expecting you to move further into the house to hide but by now he should have understood your nature. You were someone who faced things straight up, you didn't like to hide. Yet Taehyung made his way standing before you shielding you when he heard the knock on the door and a whisper.

"Tae..Tae..."

"Kate?" Taehyung dropped his pen knife turning towards you, seeing your confused face. Taehyung hurriedly rushed to the door and opened it to see Kate gripping her stomach leaning over, blood drained away from her face. "Kate! What's wrong-Kate!" Taehyung panicked as he caught her as she nearly fell feeling faint from pain.

"I think m-my water broke!" She gripped his arm urgently. "Tae my water broke!"

Taehyung panicked even more at that moment. He panicked more than ever in fact. He never had to face such a situation in his life and so of course he had no idea what to do. He turned towards you and your expression looked like you were traumatised.

"Y/n what am I supposed to do?!"

"What?" You stuttered breaking from your trance. "I-I-I don't know! How am I supposed to know?"

"Haven't you done this sort of stuff before?"

"Given birth? No way, what makes you think so-"

"Not give birth! Seen this kind of stuff happening or read about it or something-"

"Call the ambulance first." Kate whispered weakly in Taehyung's arms. Taehyung looked at you for help as you nodded understanding and rushed into the house to grab his phone from the couch. As you dialed the number he lifted Kate in his arms, struggling a little and walked into her house, into her bedroom, gently placing her down on the bed.

"There's too much rain?" You entered the room still on the call looking worried. You turned towards Taehyung shaking your head. "But she's at the verge of losing consciousness and I don't know how long ago her water broke."

As you continued, Taehyung worried sitting next to her softly patting her cheeks. "Kate, you can't close your eyes, try to stay awake."

"What? But I-I can't I don't know how to and-"

Taehyung walked to you taking the phone and putting it on speaker.

"But you have to Ms.Y/n, it might be too late for us to arrive there. If she doesn't give birth soon there will be too many complications and god forbid, even death."

Taehyung shook his head rigorously. "No one is dying tonight, tell us what to do."

You looked at Taehyung incredulously. "Taehyung they are asking me to deliver the baby, I can't do this, I don't know how to!"

"You have nothing to worry Ms.Y/n, keep us on call and we will instruct you through the whole thing."

Taehyung grabbed you by the shoulders. "The night I brought you here, if not for Kate you would have barely made it. We have to help her Y/n, you have help save her."

You looked panicked and desperate. "What if things go wrong? I have never had to do things like this Tae what if something happens to her because of me, I can't- I won't be able to."

"You keep trying no matter what the repucussions are to look for your brother. Do the same here, just try."

"That's because the only one getting hurt by those repucussions was me! Do you not understand Taehyung this is about two lives I can't do a trial and error on-"

"If you don't try yet we fail. If we don't try she will still be in danger, in even more danger in fact. But if we do try and you're successful then she'll live. They both will live."
