Chapter 15

Taehyung looked at you sitting across him in the shop as you sipped on your drink looking out. You were silent nearly the whole day today. Since what happened between you and him two nights ago you barely talked to him. It was another thing that Taehyung was barely at home the last two days and that nearly every time he was home, you were fast asleep. Fast asleep on the couch. Were you waiting for him and eventually drift off to sleep? He didn't know. He just carried you bed and tucked you under the covers as he wondered. But today he felt like maybe you weren't waiting to talk to him after all because he had spent over an hour out here with you and you didn't say much.

When Taehyung came back home, early for the weekend you asked if it was possible to go out for dinner.

"I've been feeling very boxed in for the last few days. I need to be out and about to calm down a little."

"We've talked about it Y/n, it's not safe."

"We managed to save ourselves last time Taehyung, we will this time as well."

"We won't get so lucky all the time- "

"Remember what you said when I asked you why you didn't leave the city Taehyung? You said because that wasn't 'living'. You said if you were not here you didn't feel like you were living. I feel the same way Tae. If I'm not doing the things I normally do, lead my life the way I want to, I don't feel like I'm alive anymore. I need to get out Tae. If you can do whatever you wanted to then why can't I?"

"Because I care about you and it's important that you stay safe."

"I know you care about me, you said you wanted this too. That you wanted to take me out and spend time with me and get to know me better. Then let's do that now Taehyung-"

"I said I wanted to do all that but not now Y/n. Not with your brother still missing. I wanted to do all this after I helped you find him and I'm working on it. By tonight I will get information about that passport maker-"

"We miss out on all the moments we can have today by worrying about tomorrow. We will find my brother I'm sure we will. We don't have to stop ourselves from living by saving our breaths for tomorrow. We don't know what tomorrow holds Taehyung, why don't we just do whatever has to be done today?"

With you practically begging him Taehyung couldn't say no. You would be with him anyway. He would save you no matter what.

So the two of you had left to the restaurant of your choice, sat down where you wanted, ate what you wanted, did everything you wanted. You said you wanted to be out to calm down and relax but Taehyung couldn't help but notice you were feeling more tensed coming out. Even though you were done eating and slowly sipped on the juice saying that you just wanted to hang around here for a while, he noticed the way you looked out of the window. It was almost as though you were searching for something or someone. But surely you would have told him if you were looking for someone. If you had some other purpose of coming here then you would have told him. But you weren't talking. You were barely talking at all. This wasn't what Taehyung had in mind when he said he wanted to spend time with you. He wanted to get to know you better, what you liked, what you didn't, what you dreamed, what made you afraid, what made you so strong, he wanted to know everything. Taehyung didn't realize but by now, you knew nearly everything about him, everything he wanted to know about you. Yet he had no idea about you. He barely knew you.

Taehyung turned to you to ask you. Just because you weren't talking didn't mean he couldn't but before he could even say anything you finally turned to him putting your glass down, smiling a bit.

"Do you feel like having ice cream?"

Taehyung raised his eyebrow, "In the middle of winter? No I don't."
