It was the fourth day since Taehyung brought you here.

He had spent the entire last three days working day and night, covering shifts for Jinyoung's brother in exchange for this favour as the younger man left overseas on a short college trip. Every morning by the time he woke up you would be up and ready to leave, full of hope and every evening when he came to pick you up you looked dejected and defeated and didn't say a word as he drove you back home. The past four days he had barely got the chance to speak to you. By the time the both of you came home he was physically tired and you mentally, so within minutes of returning, sleeping was the only response. Though it was agreed that alternate days you both would take the bed and sofa, there were also times when both of you just sat down on the couch and slowly drifted off to sleep, curled up on either corner.

Today however Taehyung had the day off. As usual he dropped you in the morning and you disappeared into the small cabinet of a room not realising that he was waiting. He sat outside in front of a computer as Jinyoung bought him a hot coffee placing it on the desk beside him.

"That's days of data she is looking through, but she should be done soon."

Taehyung hummed in response as he sipped the coffee. Jinyoung sat down across him blowing the steam off the cup.

"Can we not help her in anyway?"

"I've already helped more than enough Tae, more than I should." Jinyoung pointed out with raised eyebrows.

"Fine, then can I not help her in anyway? It's difficult for just one person to go through all those records and she's been doing it for days now."

"There is only one master computer Tae, only one person can access the data at a time." Jinyoung shrugged before licking his lips as a solution came to his mind. "Though you can try checking through our records. It is possible that the person you are looking for had used our company's transport to travel. You might just find him in our own records."

Taehyung nodded fast. "Yeah that's possible. That's entirely possible, I can try that."

Jinyoung nodded turning the computer behind him on as Taehyung pondered on the possibilities. The company he worked in was pretty popular and it was entirely possible that your brother left the city through it. As the lists of data flashed before him Taehyung realised something that surprised him. He didn't know the name of your brother. How was he supposed to find your brother without knowing his name?

Jinyoung looked bewildered at his confession. "You don't know who you are looking for?"

"It's not exactly me who is looking for him."

"Still, isn't this basic information Tae? You don't know something as simple as a name?"

"I can go ask her." Taehyung got up as Jinyoung shook his head at him.

"She locks the door. I don't disturb her while she's working in there. I understand how difficult it is for her. With days passing she loses more hope. Best not to interfere with her while she's at it. I don't think she wants us to know how upset she is about this."

"And here I thought I could help her."

"You still can." JInyoung shrugged before straightening out. "Wait you know her name, right?"

"Of course, I do." Taehyung rolled his eyes. He remembered Hoseok telling him over the phone. Park Y/n.

"Thank god for that. If you know her name and can find her on our system, then through her address we can locate her brother."

Taehyung blinked. "I don't get it."

Jinyoung took a deep breath slowly explaining. "You said she came from Busan right? If she used our transport which she most likely did considering it is Busan, her details will be in our records. Amongst them will be her housing address which is common between her and her brother. Using that housing address, we can locate her brother's information by seeing who it matches to. Do you get it?"

Taehyung nodded finally understanding Jinyoung's intelligent brain. "But Jinyoung her information would only be on our system if she used our trains or cabs. If she didn't then how?"

"Our company's greatest revenue tends to come from trains to and from Busan. The train timings are convenient, there are over a dozen trains that run there every day, even the price is very affordable. If she was really coming here urgently the best buy for her would be us. I'm 99% sure she is on our list. We just have to search through and find it."

Taehyung tried to recollect your story as he nodded. "Alright, I know roughly what date she arrived. I'll check around that date."

Jinyoung nodded as Taehyung set to work. He scrolled through the hundreds of portfolios trying to locate your name. Hours went by. It was dark and even started to drizzle outside and just like that, another day had passed. Taehyung leaned back into his chair exhausted. He had searched every possible date of arrival but somehow, he could not even find you, forget finding your brother. It was as though you never left Busan to come to Seoul ever and that did not make any sense because you were here in Seoul living in his house with him. But Jinyoung was so confident he would find you on the list. Was Taehyung missing something here? Was he looking through the wrong dates? He could just ask you what date you travelled by? Or better what your brother's name was? If he knew that he wouldn't have to go through all this trouble at all. But since they arrived you had not opened the locked door at all and like Jinyoung said he didn't have the heart to disturb you. Yet he thought maybe he should just knock and ask, after all he was doing this to help you.

It was as though you heard his thoughts because at that exact moment he heard the click of the door unlocking and you walked out of it slamming the door behind you. Without even noticing Taehyung's presence there or hearing him call out to you, you walked right out of the office into the open as Jinyoung watched along with him before stepping into the master room. Taehyung got up urgently ready to follow her when Jinyoung called out to him, "She's done."

"Done with what?"

"Going through the data. And judging by what just happened I don't think she found what she was looking for so be careful with her." Taehyung nodded hurriedly grabbing his jacket from the hanger on the side and wearing before he rushed out into the darkness after her.

You leaned back into the chair as your eyes ran across the last of the data.

Useless. Utterly useless. You knew it would be useless yet you gave yourself the hope and tried to find something. You had wasted four precious days on this pointless search when there were so many other things that you could have done.

Though every time you searched through something it did lead you back to one person. Just one person but it didn't make any sense. Surely that wasn't the person you were looking for? Whether it was or not both conclusions frustrated you, both conclusions made things more complicated. You got up nearly pushing the chair over in your frustration. You had to get out of this confinement before that and your irritation suffocated you.

You opened the door and slammed it shut behind you, urgently leaving the office forgetting to thank Jinyoung, forgetting Taehyung's caution asking you to wait for him and not step out, forgetting that it was raining and you had no umbrella on you and so the moment you stepped out onto the cobbled pavement the first thing you met were the cold waters of the rain drenching you.

Great. Way to go nature, making your situation much better. And just when you thought things couldn't get worse you felt foreboding chills go down your spine as you looked around in the eerie silence and darkness dimly lit by a couple of streetlights, barely illuminating anything. You could see the road before you and the road divider next to it and another road after it. You couldn't see anyone or anything and while that didn't really scare you, something told you that you should have listened to Taehyung and waited inside for him. And your intuition is right on point because exactly then two jeeps passing by on the otherside of the road stop right across you, men quickly alighting from it. You took a step back as the headlights illuminated the faces as the walked around the car. The same faces that chased you down the street the night you escaped. The same faces of the Crux.

This was it. You had no way to escape now. Run and they would catch up in no time. There was no place to hide, you couldn't stand but you couldn't leave as well. Either acts would draw attention to you. And just when you nearly gave up you felt someone's fingers grasp your wrist.
