Chapter 6

It's been three days and Bart and Tim been visiting the surface world to see Milagro. Tim was at first nervous of meeting Milagro but then he started warming up to her. Milagro was so happy to finally have friends that she made herself without her brother help. The friends that her brother helps her make was only her friends to the only talk to Jaime. She chuckles seeing Bart splashing the water with his beautiful red tail and Tiny whistling happily. Tim couldn't make it today because he had to write a message to his father.

"So Milagro when is your birthday party coming?" Bart asked.

"Three more days until it does!" Milagro said happily. "I was wondering if you and Tim can come to my party." 

Bart smiled and raise his tail and looking at Milagro.

"Honey, I am a mermaid. How on Triton's name will I go there?" Bart chuckled.

"True...do any of your mermaid friends know how to make you into a human?" Milagro asked making Bart think and smile brightly.

"Oh! I know the perfect fish to help!" Bart smiled but gasp when he heard Milagro's brother calling her.

"Oh, no. He'll see you. Quick hide behind here." Milagro said pushing Bart to a huge coral.

Bart hides behind the coral with Tiny covering him. Milagro sighed when Jaime walk to her on her own coral island.

"Milagro what are you doing here by yourself?" Jaime asked making her roll her eyes.

"I'm not, Jaime. Tiny with me." Milagro pointed at Tiny who whistle happily.

Bart chuckles softly and peeks out only to gasp. He felt his heart stop, his stomach fill with butterflyfishes, and his face turning red. He looks at the handsome boy that was named Jaime. Jaime rolled his eyes and pointed at Tiny.

"Tiny isn't a friend. It's a mammal. You need someone to talk too." Jaime said crossing his arms. "Why don't you come with your friend that we made together."

Milagro glare at the floor and shook her head.

"No! I do have a friend and his name is Bart!!" Milagro shouted and gasp while covering her mouth.

Jaime and Bart's eyes were wide open and they looked at Milagro shocked. Jaime kneels down to his sister size and looked at her in the eyes.

"Milagro, who is this Bart?" Jaime said seriously.

"H-He's a boy I meet and he's really nice including his other friend, and no you can't meet them!" Milagro said glaring at her brother.

Jaime was about to say something until Cassie jump out of nowhere and grab Jaime's arm.

"COME ON LOSER WERE GOING SHOPPING FOR MILAGRO'S PARTY!!! LET'S GO CONNER!!" Cassie screams not caring if Jaime was trying to make Cassie let him go.

Milagro watches Cassie drag Jaime away and once he was gone Milagro turn around to Bart crying.

"I-I' m sorry Bart!!! I broke our promise!!" Milagro sob while looking down ashamed.

Bart smiled softly and ruffle Milagro hair.

"It's okay, Milagro. I understand you were just angry at your brother." Bart said smiling softly while thinking about Jaime. 

Milagro looked at Bart and gasp in horror knowing that look all too well.

"NOO!!! Bart doesn't fall for my brother!!" Milagro said making Bart gasp.

"W-What! N-No of course not!" Bart said looking down.

Tiny whistle happily splashing her tail knowing her master was falling in love. Milagro frown and straight up.

"Well, you aren't gonna to. Anyways can you please come to my party to show my brother I actually have friends." Milagro pouts sadly.

Bart looked at Milagro smiling and nodded his head.

"Okay, I'll talk to Tim about it and see if he wants to come. See you later Milagro and don't forget. We have practice tomorrow." Bart said and dives into the water.

~White Fox Home~

"A what?!" White fox looked at Bart and Tim shocked. "You two dorks want to go to Princess Milagro's party as HUMANS!!"

Tim and Bart both smiled and nod their heads. White fox found out about Bart and Tim meeting up with Milagro last week. She was mad at them but she calmed down and told the two idiots to make sure that the little girl isn't a trickster. She sighs and looked at Bart and gasp in horror.

"NO!" She said looking at Bart.

Tim looked at White fox confuse seeing her looking into Bart who was blushing and trying to look away making him gasp too.

"Bartholomew, you did not just fall in love with the Princess Milagro's brother!" Tim scream for White fox to look at Tim and back at Bart who was blushing crazy.

"Nonononoo!!!!!!!!!! I did not!! I-I mean he is handsome and he was so protective of Milagro and how he cared for her and all.." Bart said softly but shook his head.

"Oh, dear Triton." Tim shooked his head while putting his face in his hand. "Seem like we have to go now." 

White fox sighed and shook her head. She then chuckles and smiled at the two mermen.

"Very well. I will help you, two dorks, to become human." White fox said and sadly looked at them. "But it will cost you."

Tim and Bart looked at each other and back at White fox who sighed.

"I need you two to remember the worst memory you ever have." White fox said giving Bart and Tim some drinks so when they remember they have to drink the potion. "I'm sorry but a human spell is powerful."

Bart and Tim smiled and nodded understanding White fox price. At least it wasn't their happiest memory. Tim thought of his worst memory and frown. It was when his real parents abandoned him at age 2 in front of the shark's territory. He was lucky that Dick and Jason were swimming by that he was saved. He drinks his potion and gasp when the memory came out and he blinks seeing it floating in front of him. White fox smile sadly at him and took the bubble. She sadly looked at Bart who was crying softly with his eyes closed. Bart's worst memory was when he had to watch the humans try kidnapping him but he was lucky enough to be saved by his mom but sadly they weren't lucky enough to save together. Meloni and Don both risked their lives to save their only son to only get killed when they did. Bart quickly drinks the potion and swam out the room leaving the bubble to float to White fox hands. Tim went after Bart who was sobbing outside with Tiny trying to comfort him.

"Bart..." Tim said softly.

"I-I can't remember..." Bart smiled softly. "T-That's good right...I-I don't have to r-remember their dying faces anymore." 

Tim smiled sadly at Bart who lung towards his friend for a hug which of course Tim accept and hug back. White fox sadly looked at Bart's memory of his parent's death and drop the bubble inside the pot. She hopes that Bart will find happiness in the surface world with Prince Jaime oh so help her she will try everything in her magic to give Bart happiness.
