Chapter 17

Bart smiled brightly seeing his closes friend flirting with a purple Cecaelia name, Mage, that they meet while exploring the underwater trees. White fox smiled watching her own kind smiling softly at Juan. She looks at Bart to gasp when he was swimming to the tree and chuckles.

"Be careful Bart. That tree is very old but can tell your future." White fox said swimming after her friend.

Tim was at the castle with his brothers talking about things of their home and how Wally is gonna live with them since Dick is next in line to get the throne. Bart swam around the tree seeing how beautiful it was. White fox made sure to not even get close to that tree making Bart raise a brow at her.

"What's wrong?" Bart asked his friend.

"The tree can kill Cecaelias. One touch and I can die from it." White fox said looking at Mage hugging Juan, who smiled and nuzzle her. "So I rather stay here and watch."

Bart nod understanding and swam to the tree and saw how it branches were sticking out like a family tree. He smiled and swam over and under the branches and seeing how everything work. He was about to call out to White fox but stop when he saw her and Mage gone and Juan watching him. 

"Bart!" Iris said swimming toward the tree with her guards and gasp. "Honey please be careful, this tree is very old."

"Okay!" Bart smiled swimming out the tree and hugging Iris when he got to her. 

She chuckles happily and hug her grandson and look at him brushing away his brown hair. 

"Come on honey! It's time!" Iris smiled brightly.

"What time?" Bart said confused.

~Central Kingdom~

"Dawn!" Wally said happily hugging her making her laugh.

"Wally congratulation on getting married!! Ohh, I feel bad for not making it!" Dawn said happily seeing Wally chuckled.

"Now, now honey. We're here for the family get together not to apologize." Barry chuckles while Dawn smiled brightly and swam to her father.

"Dad! Oh, I miss you so much!" Dawn smiled but gasp when a teenage girl crash into her. "Jenni Ognats. Young lady what did I tell you about swimming fast inside the kingdom."

"Sorry, mom. Hi grandpa!" Jenni smiled hugging Barry.

"Hello, pumpkin. It's good to see you." Barry chuckles seeing Dawn smiling and standing next to her husband, Jeven Ognats.

"Dawn!" Iris smiled brightly hugging her daughter.

"Mom!!" Dawn laugh while Barry smiled softly.

Bart swam inside the room but stop shortly seeing his cousin, Jenni, with her two alive parents. She was smiling at how Dawn and Jeven had their arms around her shoulder and talking about the places they saw together and how they meet other merpeople. Bart felt his insides twist and he looked at his grandparents seeing them smiling brightly and being one happy family. He swallows and looked down feeling like he isn't supposed to be here because his parents were dead and it was all his fault. 

"Oh, where's Bart. I haven't seen him since the incident." Dawn said softly feeling her husband rubbing her shoulder.

"Oh, honey." Barry sadly looks at his daughter while Iris sighed sadly but smiled softly.

"He's here. Bart honey." Iris turns around but gasps seeing that Bart wasn't there. "Bart?"

~El Passo's Caves~

Jaime was practicing his sword skills at the beach in a hidden cave that he found and groan feeling his head hurt. The blue sword was glowing and his armor was around him but not his face.

'Jaime Reyes, don't use my powers so much. It will harm you.' Khaji Da said making Jaime chuckled.

"I know, I just have to get stronger," Jaime said out loud and going back to his stance. "Anyways I have to because I'm soon to be king one day."

'What about your mermaid lover? Both of you are different kinds.' Khaji Da said making Jaime groan. 

"Oh shut up!" Jaime growled and lung forward.

Jaime was sweating pulling his sword back and changing his stance at each movement. He jumps back and twirl around and slash at the air feeling proud he finish the move that Ted had shown him.

"Perfect!" Jaime smiled but gasp when he heard sobbing. "What's that?"

'It's not that far, Jaime Reyes. I suggest we investigate.' Khaji da said making Jaime nod.

Jaime held his sword tightly walking carefully deep inside the cave that he hasn't adventure himself. He walks into a dark tunnel but his sword light up the tunnel allowing him to see careful but gasp when he felt some water. He looked down and continue to walk forward hearing the sobbing louder. He finally made it to the end and gasp softly seeing the tunnel leading to a beautiful cave with a blue waterfall touching the blue water that was lighting up the beautiful cave. He smiled feeling like this was his best discovery ever and walk forward but gasp when he heard the sobbing again making him stand on his guard. He walks toward the sound but stops on his track when he notices the water raise to his waist and gasp softly seeing the most beautiful thing ever.

"Bart..." Jaime whisper seeing Bart but in his true form.

Jaime armor started fading away fast and his sword stops glowing. He looks at Bart and frowns seeing how he was the one sobbing. He quietly goes to the back thanks to Oliver helping him sneak around when he was ten. Bart was crying softly wiping his tears while sitting on a fluffy rock that was cover in the green fluffy grass.

"I-I'm so pathetic. Here I am crying." Bart laughs looking at Tiny, who squeals sadly. "I'm such a loser."

Bart laughed sadly looking down while hugging himself and pulling his tail up watching as it sparkled and turn into his human legs since he was wearing the necklace. He wipes his eyes and sobs out again.

"I'm sorry mom and dad. It's all my fault your gone. If I just have listened to mom about going above you two will still be here. With Grandpa and Grandma. How dad could have become a king like how he always dream of being." Bart cried covering his face with his hands. "It because of me, your both moded and I..I...I'm here alone."

Bart cried shaking so much with big fat tears falling that he didn't take notice of Jaime walking towards him. He gasps when he felt himself be pulled into a hug and looked up to gasp in horror.

"J-Jaime!!" Bart gasp with his fat tears falling. "O-Oh god, y-you sh...shouldn't kn-know a-about this!" 

Bart tried pushing Jaime back but was shaking badly that he wasn't even able to push him. He felt Jaime squeeze him hard making him tear up even more and close his eyes feeling his fat tears falling.

"H-How m-much..*hiccup* d-did you see!" Bart cried holding onto Jaime.

"Everything..." Jaime whisper looking sadly at  Bart, who continue to cry in his arms.

All they heard was the tears of a broken mermaid and a human comforting the beautiful mermaid. What they both didn't know someone or something was watching.

A/N: Boom!! I finally update this. For those who want to know why I didn't update this story was because I left my notebook about this story somewhere but lucky my friend found it and keep it with her. Anyways here's a sad chapter. TvT
