Chapter 23

"Uhhhhh." Bart was speechless seeing his crush/human friend as a mermaid. "W-What?"

"We want you two to watch him while your grandpa is handling the Sea Witch on El Passo Kingdom. Can you do that honey." Iris said. "I understand if you can't."

"No no! He's 100% okay with it aren't you Bart." Tim said grabbing his arm.

"W-What..." Bart said again looking at a shirtless and well tone Jaime.

"That's a yes..." Tim sighed and smiled at his family.

Selina chuckled while Iris smiled at her adorable grandson and push them along.

"Very well, now go. Show him what you do but don't go out the barrier. It's dangerous out there with the sirens still free." Iris said swimming toward another door with Selina and Mera behind.

They wave at them and when the door closed they both sighed in relief. Then they both looked at each other and looked at Jaime, who was checking his tail out and smiling. He then raised his head and smiled brightly seeing Bart again

"Bart!" Jaime said and tried swimming toward him but fail.

Tim sighed while Bart chuckled and swam toward Jaime helping him float. He chuckles and hugs him close making Tim roll his eyes and grab Bart's arm.

"Come on Bart. Let's go somewhere else so that you two can catch up." Tim smiled and swam toward the hall.

"Come, Jaime! Also how come you a mermaid?" Bart asked seeing Jaime sigh and look at him.

"It's a long story." He said while getting the hang of swimming.

~El Passo Kingdom~

"Peace! Ha! Don't me laugh Bruce. We were about to make peace with each other until you human allies decided to steal the scarab from my lair. I don't forgive humans easily." Emmanuel said while looking at Bruce. "I'm sorry Bruce. Truly I am but you know the rules of the Sea Witches."

"What rule!?" Dinah said looking at the two sea creatures.

"Bruce?" Clark asked looking at his friend.

White fo was looking down knowing the rule too while her mother was looking at Bruce and Barry waiting for them to tell the people. She rolls her eyes and looked at her daughter and smile.

"Well, since you won't say anything I would then." She claps her hands together. "The price for a mermaid is to serve the Sea Witch for a month while for a human....will that a different story."

"What is it!?" Alberto said looking at Emmanuel.

"Well, for a human. It either their memories or their life." She said but raised a brow seeing the people shouting their disagreements.

Barry and Bruce watched them yelling and demanding another option making Emmanuel get annoyed. She raises her hand about to cast a spell but look down when she felt a hand grab her hand. She softly but look confused too at her beloved daughter.

"Mother, what's the rule for a human whose in love with a mermaid and the mermaid loves him back is royal?" White fox said looking concern.

"Well, that a different side of the rule. If they were in a relationship then the rule for them is that the human must hand something to me that precious of their memory and one month to serve me." Emmanuel said but frown. "But that brat isn't in a relationship with a mermaid and he stole something important from me."

"What so important to you of that Scarab!?" Hal shouted standing next to Barry.

Emmanuel looked at Hal and frown.

"What so important! I stole that from the REACH! I manage to get away this scarab so they would never use this on merpeople and my kind. They were planning to go after my white pearl magic since she is a white Cecaelia. White Cecaelia are rare and powerful. Now! The scarab is on that Prince! Who knows what he plans to use the scarab for!" Emmanuel said angrily.

"What! We caught the Reach on our shore." Alberto said making her laugh.

"Oh, please. That was their scientists that you caught and half their men." She growled pulling her daughter. "Now tell me! Where is Prince Jaime!!!"

"You majesty!!! An unknown ship is heading to our shore!" One of the guards said running toward them.

"No! There here already!! Tell me where the Prince is!! NOW!!!" Emmanuel said angrily.

"He with my people Emmanuel!" Barry said watching Emmanuel's eyes go wide.

"YOU FOOL!! I haven't disconnected the scarab from the Reach Power!!" Emmanuel said looking at the sea seeing the Reach ship in the middle of the sea.

"No." Barry's face went pale.

~Central Kingdom~

"See. This is where I live." Bart said while looking through his window.

"It's beautiful Bart," Jaime said looking at him. "How come you feel uncomfortable here?"

"It's cause I lost my parents to your kind...my grandpa never forgive your people," Bart said sadly. "I know that some people are different and some are pure evil."

"Hey." Jaime swam toward him and grab his hands. "I know that you'll never be that comfortable around human but know that I not like that. I will never do anything to harm you."

Bart looked at Jaime and smile softly at him and lean close to him making him lean too. They kissed and Bart closed his eyes feeling so happy and calm. Jaime groans and pulled back feeling his back hurt. He held on to the window ledge and shook in pain and look around hearing a voice call to him. He gasps and closed his eyes tight feeling Khaji Da fighting with him.

"Bart get away from him!" White fox said pulling him behind her.

"What!? Why? What's going on!?" Bart said but stopped when he saw Jaime blue armor forming around his body and when it fully covered him his eyes where glowing yellow.

"Go!!" White fox order pushing Bart out the room.

They swam through the window and gasp seeing all the sirens dead and their bodies floating down. The merpeople were screaming when the barrier was being under attack by a Green armor mermaid and a Black armor human. Her eyes were wide but gasp seeing Jaime swimming toward the barrier.

"No..." Iris said watch Jaime stab the barrier.
