Chapter 20

~Metropolis Kingdom~

A twelve years old Jaime was running around the maze with a thirteen-year-old Connor behind 

"Come on Conner!!" Jaime laughed while jumping over a rock.

"Wait, Jaime," Conner said trying to catch up with him.

Jaime laughed and looked around. His family came to visit King Clark to see his newborn baby, Jonathan Samuel Kent. They were running around the garden castle with Queen Bianca and Queen Louis watching them play while holding their babies.

"Come on Conner." Jaime chuckles but fell inside the pond hearing his friend laughing.

"Hahaa you okay, Jaime!" Conner said helping his best friend up.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks, hermona." Jaime smiled showing his teeth.

"Okay young boy tie to shower you or you'll get sick." Bianca chuckled with Louis behind.

"You too Conner. Come on." Louis said watching the two boys running to them.

They ran to their mother and went inside the castle to take their shower and when they finish they went to play in the meeting hall where their fathers were at. Clark and Alberto smiled seeing their sons running inside and going to them to sit on their chairs and pretend their Kings themselves. 

"King Jaime, what do you think we should do with these monster attacking our kingdom?" Conner said looking at Jaime.

"I don't know King Conner, but we can ask our sorceress to cast a spell to protect our people and kingdom from these monster," Jaime said making Conner nod.

"Great idea! Sir Clark and Sir Alberto come! We need you!" Conner said hearing their fathers chuckle.

"What is it, my King." Clark bowed his head including Alberto earning giggles from their sons.

"We want you two to talk to our sorceress to see if they have spells to protect us from these creatures!"  Conner said while Clark nod.

"Of course!" Clark said and smiled at his son earning laughers from both of them.

Conner and Jaime laughed when their fathers hug them and kiss their faces making them groan and push away.

"Go on now, hijo. Go play outside. We have a meeting to attend to." Alberto said smiling at his son and seeing them run off.

The two boys ran outside the kingdom and running to the beach seeing the waves splashing and seeing the people having fun in the water. Jaime smiled and looked at Conner, who was walking farther down the beach making him get worried.

C-Conner! W-We can't go that far from the castle." Jaime said running after his friend.

"Come on Jaime! Where your sense of adventure!" Conner chuckled and gasped seeing a really old cave in a distant and smirk. "Come on!"

"Conner wait!!" Jaime ran after his friend and looking back at the castle seeing it go away from his sight.

They ran to the cave and found a tiny hole for them to fit in. They both crawled in and continue to crawl until they reach the end that they were getting out. When they did they aw in amazement seeing how the cave was glowing in green, blue, white, and gray. Conner smirk while Jaime looked around scared. They walk down the path and Jaime took notice that the cave had water on the left side and that it goes deep. Conner took notice of stairs and ran up the stairs with Jaime following behind. They push open the door to see bottles and many other things around including a giant sea turtle shell in the middle.

"Cool!!!" Conner said looking around.

Jaime was looking around too but gasp seeing a blue sword glowing in front of him and a blue beetle scarab on the sword. He walks closer to the sword seeing how it was cover in glasses. He looks back at his friend seeing him looking at the turtle shell. He then opens the glass door and grabs the sword looking at, feeling how it was heavy for him. 

"Jaime! Come look at this!!" Conner shouted making him jump and cut his hand on the sword.

"OW!" Jaime whined holding his bloody hand now.

Conner looked back at his friend worriedly and ran to check on him back scream when he notices the swords bug crawling out from the middle and crawling towards them. They both scream and back up and watch as the bug crawled to Jaime. Jaime panic and tried getting the bug off but scream in pain when the bug dug itself into his back and sticking it sharp legs on his back.

"OOOWWW!!!" Jaime cried trying to grab the bug but couldn't and watch in horror seeing the sword glowing and blue armor going around him. "C-Conner help!!!"

Conner was so lost that he didn't know what to do but watch in horror. 

'Enough Jaime Reyes. I don't mean to harm you. Stop your crying.' a voice said in Jaime mind making him panic.

"C-Conner something in my mind!!" Jaime yelled looking at his friend terrify.

"Come on! Let's get out of here!" Conner grabs his friend's hand and ran out the room.

'Leave faster! She is here Jaime Reyes!' the voice said scaring Jaime more.

"Hurry!!" Jaime cried seeing the armor fading away.

They ran through the path but stop when they heard a scream.

"WHERE IS THE BLUE BEETLE SWORD!!!! WHO DARES TO STEAL FROM MEEE!!!!!" the female voice screech making Conner and Jaime face pale.

'RUN NOW JAIME REYES!!!!!' the voice said making Jaime jump.

"GO!!" Jaime cried watching Conner crawl in the hole.

"YOU CAN"T ESCAPE ME, YOU THIEVES!!! I WILL RIP YOU TO PIECES!!!!" the woman yelled making Jaime cry more.

"Hurry!!" Jaime shouted seeing Conner crawl faster.

"GET OUT OF THERE YOUR THIEVES!!! NOWWWW!!!!" the woman face was on the end of the hole trying to reach them but couldn't. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

They ran out the hole not knowing it was already night and ran back to the beach straight toward the castle and barging through the door. Clark and Alberto stop their pacing and looked at their scared and terrify children on the floor breathing fast.

"JAIME!!" Alberto said running to his son.

"CONNER!!" Clark also ran to his son and seeing how they were crying.

Bianca and Louis ran to their sons crying in relief knowing that they were okay but Bianca gasp in horror seeing Jaime's back all bloody and a scarab on his back.

"Alberto!!" Bianca cried while Clark and Alberto looked in horror.

"Guard call the sorceresses now!!!" Clark orders watching his guards running out the room.

Jaime was crying in his mother arms while Conner was apologizing to Jaime tons of time. He whines and buries his face in Bianca's shoulder.

'You will live Jaime Reyes.' the voice said.

"W-Who are you?" Jaime said making his parents look worried.

'I am Khaji Da and I am your protecter now.' Khaji Da said back before Jaime saw all black.
