brynn! can you see them?" i shout at brynn, standing at my side, looking at every angle to see if we can see the 'couple' on the ferris wheel.

"lauren! your taller than me, you can see better," she shouts back, still attempting to point the two out.

"what are you freak shows doing?" hayden and carson come up to us, pulling weird faces, laughing at us.

"don't disturb us right now!" brynn shouts at them, still looking at the ferris wheel. i look over at the boys, as they try to figure out what we are looking at.

"where's annie?" hayden asks us, girls. brynn turns and looks at hayden, dead serious.

"one, do not disturb me with my jenzie finding and two, she's over there with ruby!" brynn says, the boys looking at each other with wide eyes and me, laughing. 

"jenzie finding?" carson says in between all his laughs. "they are right there." he points towards to kenzie and johnny, walking off the ferris wheel, laughing and smiling. byrnn's straight face turns upward into a smile.

"oh my goodness!" she squeals. "look lauren it worked!" she jumps up and down until she see's johnny and kenzie look at her. she stops and turns around and walks the other way like she was never doing anything. kenzie and johnny walk over to hayden, carson and i with big smiles on their faces.

"hey, lovebirds." carson says, folding his arms, chuckling. they both roll their eyes, while we all laugh.

"what's up with brynn?" kenzie laughs, but i was paying attention to something completely different. i watch johnny's arm snake around her waist, ever so secretly. i look over to carson and hayden to see if they had notice, which they hadn't. a smirk was plastered on my face as i watch them be all 'couplely".

"lauren!" i get snapped out of my thoughts by johnny's loud voice.

"hello!" i shake my head looking up at them all surprised. i now have realised that brynn has rejoined the circle and ruby and annie have joined. "what's happening?" i question.

"you were totally out of it." annie says, the whole group laughing.

"ok, well me and kenz are going to have some alone time, catch you all later." johnny says, winking at me before leaving.

"come back to my house," i whisper in kenzie's ear while we sit under a tree in the shade from the heat. "we can swim?" i question her, kissing her cheek.

"john." she pushes me softly. i back up, looking her in the eye. "what's up with us?" she says, looking down at the ground. "we're good, then we are fighting and then now we are suddenly all lovey-dovey." she speaks.

"what do you mean?" i ask, feeling a pang of hurt. "mackenzie, i just confessed my love to you." i grab her shoulders, attempting to get her to look at me, which fails. i take one of my hands and lift her chin, her eyes slowly lifting to mine. her eye's go glassy, her eyes trying not to make eye contact.

"i'm scared your going to hurt me." her eyes focus on mine again.  a breath i was holding in, was let out and my eyes slowly close as i begin to shake my head.

"mackenzie, no." i respond. "you've been my best friend for nearly 4 years now, i would never hurt you." i look at her with sympathy in my eyes. i watch a tear slowly slip out of her eye. "kenz, no." i whisper, wiping the tear away with the pad of my thumb.

"i love you." her voice cracks as another lonely tear slips out of her eye. 

"come on, let's go home and watch a movie." i stand up putting out a hand for her to grab. she kindly takes the request, using my strength i swipe her up on to her feet. i softly smile and plant a kiss on her forehead. "let's go" i whisper, slipping a hand around her waist as we walk back to my house.

"no! let's watch pitch perfect!"

"come on kenz, fast and furious will always be better than pitch perfect." i state out the obvious, even though kenzie disagrees. 

"fine," she huffs. "next time it's pitch perfect." she points her pointer finger at me and then settles onto the couch. i hit fast and furious bringing up the movie onto the screen. kenzie smiles and pats a spot next to her. i gladly take her request and settle into the spot she choose for me.

she places the blanket over us and rests her head on my chest. i pull her closer by snaking an arm around her waist pulling her as close as i can. i kiss the top of her head as the movie begins.

finally, she's mine.
