Chapter 33

Rain:
It's been 3 days and no sign of James waking up. I've barely left the hospital and Grayson hasn't left my side. I feel bad because I've barely spoken two words to him since my panic attack that day. I can tell he's worried about me but I can't think about Grayson right now. My main priority is making sure James wakes up. I brought nail polish and tweezers for his eyebrows. I painted his nails a pale pink and tweezed his brows. I even fixed his hair up a little bit. When it was time to talk to James, Grayson left the room like he always does. He gives me my space with James.
"Today is day three James. I miss you. I wish you would wake up and see your doctor. You'll thank me later." I giggled "he says your his strongest patient and I know he's right because your my best friend. I still haven't found your bracelet but Tyler says he gets his car back from the shop and it will probably be in there. I remember buying you that bracelet for your birthday and you crying because you were so happy. It wasn't like it was a diamond bracelet but it was the thought that count. You never took it off and it showed me how much you truly cared about our friendship. Do you remember what you told me? That we would be ...."
"Sisters" James said lightly. I looked up with tears in my eyes and saw his eyes open looking at me.
"DOCTOR!" I yelled. "James are you okay? Do you need anything." I asked panicking. I grabbed his face and looked him up and down. Then I hugged him. " you came back" I cried.
"Hey stop crying. I'm fine." He said running his fingers through my hair. I heard the doctors come in and I pulled myself together. They checked all of his vitals and gave him some fluids.
"I'm very pleased with your recovery" doctor Davis said. He was the really good looking doctor.
"I'm pleased with my doctor" James said smiling. I lightly smacked him in the arm and he winced.
"I'm sorry" I said.
"He should be fine to go home tomorrow morning but you'll have to come back for some extra tests." The Doctor said walking out.
"Thank god. I need to shower so bad. I smell like feet and smoke." He said shaking his head.
"Do you remember what happened?" I asked
"Me and Tyler were arguing about one of his ex's texting him and I know he didn't text him back but I was just being petty. I said something awful to Tyler and he looked At me then all of a sudden a truck came out of nowhere and smacked into our car." He said shaking.
"They still haven't found the driver of the truck. They say it was intentional but I don't know why anyone would want to hurt you or Tyler." I said looking at him.
"I don't know. All I care is that Tyler is safe and that I have you and my family here to take care of me" he grabbed my hand. "How was your trip" he asked.
"It was fantastic but I missed you way to much" I said.
"We can't live together forever Rain and you know I love you more than life itself but you will have to settle for just seeing me a couple days of the week." He said.
"I know you just scared the shit out of me. James I thought that you were going to die." I started to cry.
"Hey stop. I'm here and I'm healthy. I will not be leaving you anytime soon" he laughed.
"I love you sister" I smiled
"I love you more" he said.
