Chapter 38

Grayson:
It's been three days since I saw Rain leaving in the Uber to god knows where. Me, James and E searched for her everywhere but nothing. James tried calling every place he could think she'd go but no one has seen her. I was starting to really think something bad happened to her. What if Alex got to her or what if she did something to herself. Stop, I can't think that way. She would never do anything like that to herself. I was pacing at this point thinking about everything last place she could have gone but I was stuck.
"How can I not know where she would be. I'm her boyfriend . I should know" started to cry. It's been years since I've cried but the hell if i cared. I just wanted Rain home and safe.
"Let's go for a walk and get some fresh air" James said. I agreed and we started walking down the street.
"We will find her Grayson or she will come back home when she is ready" James said but I don't think he even believed what he was saying. He knew how big of a deal this was. He knew what Alex had done to her. He told me he wish I would have killed him or that he was there and he would have killed him.
"I want to find her now James. I can't keep waiting it's been three days. If she was coming back she would have. What if something happened to her" I said harshly. Then winced feeling bad.
"Listen Grayson, I love Rain. I love her just as much as you do and I want to find her just as bad but you need to stop taking it out on your friends because we are all experiencing pain right now" James said.
"You're right I'm sorry" I said.
"Grayson" James stopped walking dead in his tracks.
"Come on I apologized what more do you want" I said annoyed. I looked at James as saw he was staring at something so I looked in that direction. It was Rain and she was with Alex. What the hell was going on. I started making my way towards her and then she noticed me.
"I'll be right back Babe." She said to Alex. Babe? What the fuck.
"What the hell is going on. Rain we have been looking everywhere for you" I said
"No need. I'm right here." She said calmly. This wasn't Rain. She was wearing a tiny little tube dress and there was no emotions showing on her face. She looked dead inside.
"I'm fine, you can go back to your life like normal. We are over and we just weren't meant to be" she said. I can't believe what was coming out of her mouth.
"Rain what the hell are you doing" James said.
"Nothing James. I'll be coming by to collect my things and I'll be moving back to New York." She said. She was acting like there was nothing wrong.
"She's with me again. She doesn't need any of you." Alex butted in. "Now come on let's go home" Alex started making his way down the street.
"I thought you loved me" I said.
"No I just used you to make Alex jealous. Sorry Grayson" she said
"NOW Rain" Alex yelled. Then she just walked away like she was unaffected by what happened.
"That was not Rain" James said. I started walking away towards home.
"Where are you going. We have to help her" James yelled.
"James! Just face it. She played us both. He didn't do anything of those things to her. She probably lied because he left her and she wanted to get him back" I was just mad and didn't mean it but I didn't have any other explanation. I walked away from James and went home. I needed to be alone for a while. My heart was crushed and I just couldn't deal with this shit anymore. A tear rolled down my cheek and I felt like a total dumbass. It was time to move on.
