Arnav's Khushi

Part 2

Khushi was crying then suddenly someone put hand on her shoulder. She looks back and get shocked and say "Arnavji". After a moment or two, she pushed away his hand. She was angry at Arnav for taking such a drastic step. She was angry, not because Arnav married such way but because she knows that after marrying her, Arnav was not going to be happy. She knows that after some time she has to leave this world and Arnav will be alone. She knows what his mom death made him, an arrogant, angry and ruthless man. She doesn't want Arnav to turn into ASR again. She gets flashback of all the moments she spent with Arnav, from first meeting till the marriage. Then she looks at Arnav and finally breaks down. Seeing Khushi like this breaks Arnav's heart into million pieces. Arnav wanted to console her but he stays quiet. He wants her to take all the pain out. Now he realized that behind that smile, she was broken, broken to the core that she doesn't care about herself anymore. His train of thoughts get broken when Khushi start questioning him.

Khushi - Aap ne mujshe shadi kyun ki Arnavji? Jante hai aap ke esa karne se aap ne apni zindagi ki sabse badi galati ki hai. (By now anger vision in her eyes) Aap hamare bare me jante hi kitna hai ke aapne humse shadi karli? (Why did you marry me Arnavji? Did you know that you made big mistake by doing it?  How much do you know about me that you marry me?)

As soon as Khushi utters last statement, Arnav gets angry. He holds her from shoulders and shakes her and says;

Arnav (anger is visible in his eye) - Tumne esa kehne ki himat bhi kese ki, ki mein tumhe janta hi kitna hoon. Mein tumhare bare me jitna janta hu utna hi kafi hai mere liye. (How dare you say that how much I know you.  The amount I know is more than enough for me.)

Khushi - (push his hands away) Aap mere bare me kya jante hai? Bataiye hame kya jante hai mere bareme? (What do you know tell me?)

Arnav - Tum sunana chahti ho to suno, mein yeh janta hoon ke tum ek pagal aur hamesha bak bak karne wali ladki ho. Esi ladki jo yeh manti hai ki uske amma aur bauji tara banke uske saath hai hamesha. Aur jisko teez gadi se, andhere mein, aur akele soone se daar lagta hai. Aur jo jabhi pareshan hoti hai to dher saari jalabiya banati hai, itni ki pura mahola aarmse kha sake. Aur mene tumshe shadi ki kyun ki mein tumhe apne nazaro ke samne dekhna chahta hoon, zindgi bhar SAMJI TUM. (Do you want to listen, I know that you are crazy who likes to talks a dozen. The girl who believes that her parents became stars and always stays with her.  She's scare of speeding cars and sleeping alone.  Whenever she upset, she makes lots Jalebi(sweet) which can feed whole street.  And I marry you to keep you in front of my eyes my whole life.  Do you understand.)

Khushi (while tear in her eye) - Mujhe nahi pata tha ki aap humari har choti se choti baat ke bare me jante hai. Lekin yeh sab jane ke bavajud aap humari zindagi ki sabse badi sach se vakif nahi hai (While braking down and goes back on her knees and says) Aap yeh nahi jante ke hum aapke paas jyada se jyada teen mahine hi reh payege. Hum chahe to bhi isse jyada nahi reh paye ge.  (I didn't know that you know me so well but even than you don't know the biggest truth of my life.  You don't know that I can only survive for 3 more months, even if I want to still can't survive.)

Arnav knows the truth about her illness but he was still hopping that somehow, dam somehow it turn out to be a lie or joke that she might be playing on him. He was hoping that he might wake up from a deep sleep and all this is a just a dream.

Arnav - why you cannot stay more than three months Khushi, abhi abhi to humari shadi hui hai aur tum abhi se jane ki baat kar rahi ho (you just marry me little while and you talking about leaving me)

Khushi - kyun ki hume brain tumor hai aur vo bhi 3rd stage pe, aur doctors ka kehna hai ki humare paas ab sirf teen mahine hi bache hai jine ke liye. (She knew this only half truth she was saying because doctors told her if she didn't start her treatment than she has maximum three month to survive. If she starts her treatment then there is hope. She didn't start her treatment because she doesn't want to be a burden on her family. She knows that if her family finds out about it they will break down and she can't let that happened) Aur aapne humse shadi karli? Bina shoche samje aap ne itna bada kadam utha liya, ek baar bhi aapne bare mein nahi shocha?  (Because I have brain tumor which is on 3rd stage and doctors says that I have only 3 more months to live. And without thinking through, you took such a big step, why didn't you think for you self?)
