P.O.V Josh

I hold Jen's hand as we walk through her house to see her parents. They are sitting in the sunny back yard sipping on ice drinks, chatting away obliviously as we usher around them. Ben leaves the scene and I wait for Jen to say something first.

"Mum? Dad?" Jen croaks before clearing her throat. "Did Miss--"

Her parents snap their heads up. "What are you doing home? Supposedly pregnant, skipping school... What next Jennifer? Because if you are pregnant this is not the way around it! You get back to school the pair of you! This is your life now!" Karen yells, her accusing finger pointing at us both.

I put my hands up defensively. "Wait! For a start, we have been old to come home. Secondly, Jennifer isnt pregnant!" I shout back, defending Jennifer.

Gary jumps up now. "Look, why don't we just talk about this calmly? Stop accusing them of things you don't know about, Karen. And you two stop arguing back" Gary concludes as he shifts round to the outdoor table. He pulls a few chairs out for us to sit down.

"Jennifer, what are you doing home then?" Karen sighs as she tilts her head in question.

Jennifer exhales loudly and I can see the tears approaching to the surface. "We're home because the rumours got out about Jen being pregnant" I intervene. "Jena has spread it round school and our head of year said we should go home because its got really bad" I say feeling myself get angrier as I think of all the disgraceful things everyone ill be saying about Jen now.

Gary and Karen gasp loudly and I jump out of my seat almost when Ben runs outside loudly from behind me. "What did they say?" Ben hisses.

"I'm a slut, everyone feel sorry for you all because I'm in your family, they think I'm conniving bitch and they literally hate me" Jennifer sobs. I wrap my arms around her shoulders and I stroke her upper arm.

Ben's face turns angry and he looks quite scary actually. "I'm going to the school" Ben growls before he darts inside. In a matter of seconds we hear the front door slam and his car roar. There is no way of stopping him.

"Tell him to come back" Jen begs, tears streaming from her eyes like waterfalls.

Gary slowly steps out of his seat and takes hold of Jennifer's hand. "Jen, there isn't any point. When Ben sets his mind on something, hes gonna do it. Look, those kids in school are being cruel and bitter, don't listen to them" Gary sighs, the sadness building in his voice.

"Jennifer, I have a pregnancy test upstairs for you" Karen snaps sharply as she paces away, back inside.

Jen trembles and drops her head in her hands. "I'm not pregnant!" Jennifer yells through sobs. I shake my head and follow Karen back indoors to defend Jennifer.

"Uh... Mrs.Lawrence? Jennifer isn't pregnant, why wont you believe her?" I question abruptly.

P.O.V Jennifer

I storm upstairs and stomp to the bathroom. In the cupboard is the pregnancy test that my mother had brought me. I scowl at it and take the test, following the instructions.

The negative sign shows on the test and inside I feel very relieved, even though I know I couldn't have been pregnant. I put the cap on the stick and happily walk out of the room to take it to my parents.

I stumble down the stairs and walk into the room that I can hear my mum and Josh talking in. "Mum... Its bad news" I say looking sad. "YOU HAVE BEEN PROVEN WRONG!" I yell loudly. I show the test before chucking it in the bin. "Do you believe me now? I am sorry for proving you wrong but you cant deny the truth, can you now?" I sigh sarcastically. My mum swings her arms around me but, I peel her off.
