P.O.V Jennifer

The warm morning sun beamed through the window, heating my legs and stomach. I rolled onto my back and stretch. I swing my legs off the bed and slam my hand on the alarm clock to make it stop screeching. I rub my eyes and begin my morning school routine.

"Morning, dear" Dad greets me just before he open the door to leave for work.

"Good morning, dad" I smile as I get to the bottom of the stairs. He kisses my forehead and says goodbye.

I walk into the kitchen and pour some cereal into a bowl. Just as I was pouring the milk, Blaine stalks in grumpily. He takes an apple out of the fruit bowl and takes an angry bite into it.

I put the milk back on the counter and sigh. "Whats up with you?" I hesitate as I take a mouthful of cereal. He grumbles something to himself before sitting on the chair opposite me. "Oka--" I begin saying before Blaine interrupts me.

"Just shut up will you?!" He growls punching his fist on the table making the milk in my bowl jump and spill.

"Well done!" I snarl gesturing to the milk on the table. I get up and grab a kitchen towel to wipe up the mess. I slouch back in my chair and glare at him.

Blaine exhales loudly and leaves the room, scraping his feet across the floor as he leaves. I roll my eyes and pull a stupid face behind his back. In an instant of Blaine leaving, mum enters wearing her work clothes.

"Can Josh come over today after school? Its Wednesday so we cant disturb anybody" I sighed hoping she would let him round. Mum should allow it though because its Wednesday, so everyone is at work until 6:30 and I'm alone anyway so he would keep me company.

Mum frowned and bit her lip. "Okay, but he has to have dinner with us so we can get to know him" She compromised. That seemed pretty fair. If I was honest I would have invited him to dinner anyway. "I'll cook my special chicken and vegetable pasta, yeah?"

"Yeah, that's fine. I'm gonna go get ready" I said excitedly as I got up from my seat.

I walked all the way to the coffee shop again and of course I was a little early. This time I was prepared for Josh to arrive. The last couple of days he has made me jump, but not anymore. The sun was still beaming which made me happy because that meant me and Josh could sit outside again today. Yesterday was a bit upsetting when it rained. I liked the weather like Monday's forecast because obviously warm weather is better than cold and wet, but mainly because me and Josh could go outside and be all romantic with each other without any disturbances.

Suddenly, I felt someone punch my shoulder. I swung round to see who was behind me, but before I could see who it was, they swung for me again. With a fist to the face and then my stomach, I collapsed onto the ground. I tried opening my eyes to see who it was but the pain in my nose and left eye stopped them from opening. I could only hear heavy breathing and I wasn't sure if that was me or someone else.

"That's what I call revenge" They whisper harshly in my ear before pelting me in the right ribcage and face again. The sound of someone running away indicated that they had gone. I curled up in a ball on the ground, trying to get my breath back from being winded.

"Jen?! Jennifer?! Whats happened?" The sound of Josh's voice instantly made me relax. The sound of him running towards me made me flinch. "Its okay, I'm not going to hurt you" Josh said rubbing my shaking hand gently. "I'm just going to call an ambulance, Baby Girl. Your going to have to tell me whats happened though" Josh said worriedly. Josh shuffled me into a different position on the floor, I guessed it was recovery position just in case anything was severely damages.
