Chapter 5: Return & Further

Early in the morning we were back on camp - all of us.

Eon took me by the hand and led me slightly away from any listening ear and then said, "We are back together Mike and I do love you but I am still hurt and I will take sometime to trust you again." I nodded and said, "I understand that fully and will do my best to take us back where we were or even better."

"I need you to listen Mike, I only forgave you because I realized that this test by RED was meant to break the team apart and defeat the purpose for which we are here for," Eon added to which I somberly nodded slowly.

We went back to camp and uncle Sam and Over-watch were so overjoyed to see us. "I knew you had made up but I am so happy to see you back and together," said Over-watch.

Then we ate breakfast and quickly prepared for war. I took a body armour made of chain mail and a sword in a sheath by my side and a spear. I also had a large shield. Eon had transformed and was wearing the armour I had seen her with on the first day she fought on our behalf. The armour she wore was pink in colour and she also carried her huge sword and wore a very somber face and a focus I had not seen before.

As we led the entire army towards the bar by the beach - each one of us was prepared for anything.

RED appeared before us and said, "I can see that my plans did not succeed. I really wanted to divide you couples and then the remainders - without the Watchers and Over-watch would be easy pickings." She was smiling in such a wicked way.

Eon moved slightly forward and then looked back at us, "I need you guys to stay back no matter what happens, this fight is mine!"

I quickly moved forward and looked her in the face then looked at the rest and also commented, "RED nearly cost me the love of my life - she used me to cause a division, I must be part of this fight. To the rest please stay out of it no matter what happens."

The rest did not try to move forward or interfere, in fact uncle Sam ushered us forward with his hands while Over-watch just looked at us with pride written all over her face.

We turned around to face RED.

"So the two of you actually think you can take me by yourself?" RED asked to which we responded in unison, "YES!"

"It is interesting, let me take away the first illusion," and having said that RED made the bar and all the attendants and the people there to disappear.

"Take away the second illusion," and with that RED's sexy red clothes disappeared and we're replaced by a red armour with spikes on her shoulders. She had a red handled sword with a red shield with a dragon 🐉 design on it.

We quickly jumped into the attack and Eon swung the great sword but RED parried it with such ease that we nearly stopped to just wow at what had happened but we had no time for that for she followed through by trying to stick me with the sword but I put my shield up and followed through with my spear which nearly hit her heart.

The battle went on for a while too and fro until Eon found a slight error in RED's defence and cut her hand with her big sword.

RED was furious, "How did you manage to even cut me," she asked as she was shimmering and changing in appearance, "Well I won't allow you to cut me or pierce me again - removing the third illusion!"

She roared loudly and then said, "Meet the real Scarlet!" And having said that she was finally transformed into a huge fierce looking red dragon, bigger than the green dragon!
