Chapter 11: Mike Too

[Question - Have you ever seen two of you in one place?]

I was totally confused, when uncle told me to focus until we saw another Mike I thought he was joking but when I saw how serious he was I said to myself, "Let me just humour him and see just how far this thing goes."

But now here was another Mike who seemed to be in shock and just as amazed as I was to see another me!

My uncle called the other Mike and we walked quickly to the other side of the school - where there was no one in sight.

Uncle Sam then told Rose that he wanted to speak to the two of us then we moved slightly to a place where he felt was beyond earshot  and told us bluntly, "One of you is real, the other is just clever ruse of someone's twisted mind."

Then he looked straight at the other Mike...the one we had met going to school - whom I only noticed then, that uncle Sam was holding his hand...and said, "You are the real Mike and this one is not, now wish him away so that we can proceed forward!"

We were both stunned and I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach by a donkey. Could it be? I  saw that the other Mike was also busy thinking but I knew what the outcome would be - we were both Mikes and we trusted our uncle completely.

The other Mike looked at me intently and I started noticing that parts of my body were slowly vanishing and then - there was nothing!

I was on the way to school, when all of a sudden, uncle Sam, Rose and another Mike appeared from nowhere.

I was shocked and amazed to see another me.

My uncle called me and then together with the other Mike and Rose, we walked to the other side of school - where there was no one in sight.

Uncle Sam then told Rose that he wanted to speak to the two of us then we moved slightly to a place where he felt was beyond earshot  and told us bluntly, "One of you is real, the other is just clever ruse of someone's twisted mind."

We moved back to where Rose was, and she looked slightly confused, "Where is the other Mike?" she asked to which uncle Sam side stepped it and said, "It is not important right now, what is important is that the three of us focus on the other Rose till we find her."

As we walked I noticed Rose was still thinking and I thought I knew what must be going through her mind - one of the two had to remain with Uncle but which one?

When we got to uncle Sam's house we once more went to his house and straight to his study.

We sat around the table and uncle Sam informed us that, no matter what we heard outside we should stay focused, we started focusing on the other Rose as uncle had just told us.

We focused until we saw the face of Rose but at the same time we heard uncle Sam's maid open the door and speak to someone - who sounded like uncle Sam!

"Focus children!" uncle Sam said more forcefully.

We focused some more and we saw the same school but a bit different and Rose was coming from school with another me!
