Drabble 24

He was fine.

He really was.

He wasn't.

And yet, he was. Sure, Shinichi would maybe never lover him the way he wanted him to and Heiji would never confess his feelings to him and sure, yes, that did get to him a lot, he was also aware that it was possible for him to get over with. He had to.

However, it wasn't as if Shinichi was the love of his life or that even if they somehow got together they would stay together for even a couple of years. So heartbreaking it was, no matter when and how it happened.

Though, he didn't feel hurt or bad. Just, as if he had a realisation that he had yet to come to terms with in all completeness. He had time for that, but the more time went by, the less Shinichi popped up in his life anymore. It was a start, a good one for a change.

And maybe, just maybe, if he was extra courageous, he would ask the cute barista boy out for a coffee.
