The Fun Dad

"I dunno, Breezy." Patrick sighed, "I'm paranoid, I know it."

Breezy nodded, listening to Patrick vent as the toddlers played in the living room. Patrick had tried to move past the name and number he had found, but Breezy was quick to call out his terrible poker face. He really needed to work on that.

"Oh, hun." Breezy frowned, "It's probably nothing too major. Just talk to him about it."

Patrick bit his lip. "What if it comes out wrong and he gets mad?" He asked, nervously. "What if-"

"Patrick." Breezy put an arm on his shoulder. "You're married. Sometimes fights come with marriage. Dallon and I sometimes fight but, at the end of the day, we still love each other." She offered him a smile and squeezed his shoulder. "You'll be okay."

Patrick tried to smile, but he couldn't manage it. He was nervous. He had been afraid to loose Pete before and it was something that had never really gone away. On top of that, they had a daughter now. He had to think about her on top of the relationship.

"Chin up." Breezy stepped closer and hugged him, "Your so anxious you didn't even catch what I let slip."

Patrick raised an eyebrow as Breezy pulled away. She smiled. Without a word, she reached for a silver cord around her neck and pulled it up from underneath her shirt. On the end, a thin, golden band hung. Patrick's eyes widened.

"Breezy!"

"Yes?"

"When!?"

Breezy laughed. "It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing. We were about to have the baby and we were really close to a chapel..."

"Congratulations!" Patrick squealed, "Why didn't you tell us!?"

"It was so sudden and no one got to come!" Breezy poured, "Plus, everyone else was having a moment."

Patrick frowned. "You deserve your moment too. You're always going above and beyond."

Breezy ruffled Patrick's hair with a laugh. "Because I love you guys. It's awesome to have such an extended family in all of you weirdos."

"You're a weirdo for joining us." Patrick laughed.

"I wouldn't have it any other way."
