Oakley's POV
June turned to face me. "Hi!" She had a huge smile. "Hello. Why are you smiling?" I asked.
"Because it's the first day of school! So exciting!" She exclaimed. "Not really." I turned away and looked out the window with Violet until we got to school.Once at school, I got off of the bus and looked around for my locker. When I found it, I took everything out of my backpack and put it in my locker. My first class was Math. So, I got my math notebook out and my math textbooks, shut my locker then looked around for Math class. The tardy bell rang and I bumped into someone, causing them to fall over, their books falling onto the ground as well. I scratched the back of my head and looked down to see who it was. I saw a familiar shade of black hair and my eyes traveled to her face. Our eyes locked. The beautiful brown eyes I had seen on the bus. It was Violet. I kneeled down and helped her pick up her books. We both reached for the same one and our hands touched. I pulled my hands away then got up. I put my hand out and she took it, then I handed her her books. "Hi.. do you happen to know where Math class is?" She shook her head no. "Do you have Math too?" She nodded. "Then we'll find it together!" I smiled softly. We walked around together and eventually found the class. I opened the door and gave the teacher a nervous smile. "We urm— it's our first day and we got lost.. won't happen again." The teacher just had a big smile, planted on her face, but it looked fake. "Welcome new comers! I'm Miss. Penelope, but you all don't need to be formal with me! Call me Penelope! Since you two came in at the same time, you two can sit by eachother! Middle row! Now, go on, sit down!" This teacher was oddly— happy. But almost everyone here was happy. So, it wasn't much of a surprise. We sat down and I opened my notebook, then wrote the date. Class began and it seemed normal enough. Except the teacher kept a smile the entire time and that was a bit creepy, but ya know.
A boring Math class ended. My next class was Gym. I put my books in my locker then headed towards the locker rooms. I eventually found it then got changed into my gym uniform. I walked out of the locker rooms, expecting a regular gym class, but what happened next, was anything but regular.
