Chapter seventeen

~Lexee's P.O.V~

"Ms. Smith, I'd like to hear your side of the story first. I'll talk to you later." The principle said as he pointed to Meredith.
"Pointing is rude." Meredith mumbled underneath her breath as we walked inside his office.

"Lexee, what you did-" the principle started saying but I decided to cut him off.
"What I did was unacceptable, I know. I've heard that many times. Do you want to hear my side of the story or not?" I asked Robert, aka the principle, as he started at me. He cleared his throat and nodded for me to continue. I inhaled a deeo breath and told him what happened, including, me almost choking her.

"Look, the point is, she started it. You can give me a week of detention or whatever. I don't care." I stated and plopped down in one of the dark red chairs.
"I'm sorry Lexee, but we'll have to suspend you for the next week." He said and I just crossed my legs, one over another.
"Sounds good to me. No school for a whole week" I said and smiled. He shook his head and chuckled.
"This means that you'll be missing out on a week worth-of school work." He explained to me and I mentally slapped myself in the face.
"Will Meredith get it too?" I asked the principle, out of curiosity.
"Did she hurt you?" He asked me. I remembered that she hit my wrist. I lifted up my wrist which was wrappen in s bandaid and showed him. His eyes went wide.
"We'll see." He replied with a stern look.
"If she won't get a punishment, this willbe unfair." I said as I stood up from the seat and walked out of the office.

"You're turn, babie doll." I said to Meredith as I walked past her. I heard her mumble something so I turned around, she ran as quick as she can into the office and slammed the door.
I laughed to myself and made my way to my locker.

If I'm suspended for the next week, might as well start it now. I thought to myself and took out my books and threw some books inside my locker. I slammed it shut. I shrugged and walked out of the school building.

[At home]

"Hey mo- oh wait, you're not home yet." I said as I walked to the inside of the house. I smiled as I was home alone and threw my backpack on the floor near the kitchen door. I slipped off my shoes and made my way inside the kitchen. I grabbed an apple, grabbed my backpack and went upstairs to my room.

I threw the backpack on my desk and plopped down on my bed. I layed on my back as I continued to eat the apple that was in my hand. I decided to call my mom, it was near to being 2 p.m, so she'll be home soon.

"Yes, Lexee?" My mother answered the call and spoke in a stern voice.
"You'll be home soon, right?" I asked her and heard her let out a sigh.
"Yes, I'll be home in a few. I'm currently walking to the car. Once I'm back, we'll have to talk. Love you, bye." She spoke before she hung up. I let out and whispered a quiet 'love you too' when the call has already ended. She seemed like she was in a rush.

I wonder what she wants to talk about.

I shrugged the thought off and I went to do some of the homework from today that was assigned.
