[monday]
How I hate Mondays. They're the worst part of the week.
I swung my legs over my bed until my feet came in contact with the carpet on the floor. I got out of bed and started getting ready for the day.
I put on my outfit for today, just something comfortable. black hoodie, blue jeans and black flats. I grabbed my phone, backpack and went downstairs.
The rest of the weekend was spent with me just being locked inside my room. I didn't go anywhere, I didn't talk to anyone. My phone was still blowing up with messages from Jade, asking me if I'm okay and whatnot. I kept ignoring everyone.
Ethan hasn't texted me, nor has he called me. My mother has been acting as if I don't exist, I don't blame her.
Since today is Monday, I have to deal with everyones bullshit. If you're wondering why I'm even up for school, I should be suspended after all, right? Well, my mother talked to the principal through the phone and they both agreed to give me a week of detention instead of letting me miss a whole week worth of school work. Pretty awesome, right? Wrong. I'd rather sleep.
I hopped off the last step of the stairs and went to the kitchen. My mother was sipping her coffee as she sat on one of the chairs.
"Good morning, sweetie." She said with a smile as she put down her coffee cup.
"Mhm. I'm leaving for school." I said blankly, not wanting to annoy her at all with my presence. She had a shocked expression on her face but nodded.
"Okay, have fun." She said as I shut the front door behind me.I took out my earbuds and plugged them to my phone. I tapped on the song Dennis Lloyd - Nevermind. The melody of the song echoed through my ears as I hummed to the beat. I was walking on the sidewalk, making my way to school and taking my sweet time.
I was escaping reality, if you could say so. But my plans for fully escaping have been crushed as I reached the gates of the school. The sight of the gates also came with a side of an angry and pissed off looking Jade. This should be interesting.
I walked up to her, not being greeted by a hug. Instead, she bombarded me with questions as soon as I reached her.
"Where the frick were you all weekend? In a tunel? Did you not have any phone service? Bi-" She said everything so quickly, causing me to slap my hand over her mouth. She furrowed her eyebrows but then calmed down.
"It's been a shitty weekend, Jade." I said to her with a sigh. She frowned and we started walking to the school doors."Please, tell me everything." She begged me in a concerned tone.
"Well, first of all, I'm moving on Friday." I said to her and her eyes went wide. She was at a loss for words for a few seconds.
"To where? For how long? Is this a joke? Why? Ugh, answer me Lex!" She said to me, she's a fast-talker.
"To Los Angeles. Not sure how long, probably forever. This is not a joke. My mother got promoted. Please don't leave my side because of this." I said to her as we walked to my locker. I could already feel the clear and souf liquid form in my eyes, I refused to let it fall.
"Are you dumb? Of course I'm not going to leave you! Did something else happened? You should be happy about this, Lex! You're getting away from all of this!" She said to me with a wide smile.Jade knew that I always wanted to escape New Jersey. She knew that I wanted to leave. She knew everything!
"I'm not quite happy about this moving stuff. I have to leave you and the others." I said as I got my math book from my locker. Jade frowned for a second but the smile returned on her face.
"Don't be so bummed about it. You'll visit us or we'll visit you. It's not that big of a deal, Lex. Don't stress too much about it." She explained to me as we made our way to math class. I let out a long sigh as we entered the half-full classroom.Jade took her seat in the front, my seat was in the back. I remember that I was sitting with Ethan in this class. I haven't seen nor have I heard from him. I started worrying about him. Is he okay? Is he not okay? Will he be here? Will he not be here? All of these questions piling up inside my mind, just like the students that are filling up this classroom before the bell rings. The bell should-
"Okay, class, lets start the lesson of the day." The teacher said as the bell ended ringing. Now, the bell should ring now.
Ethan was nowhere to be seen. Not in this classroom, not even outside that could be seen from the windows. I sighed, feeling that something is wrong and that I caused it.
As the teacher babbled on about triangles and whatnot, I started zoning out. My thoughts almost exploding my mind. My head was laying in my arms. My arms were laying on my desk. My eyes were closed. Black vision, nothing else.
A somewhat loud thud was heard beside me, causing me to lightly jump in my seat in fright. I turned to look to my side to see what caused this noise.
I look up to see the most beautiful human being that has been put into this one chaotic world.
Ethan.
