Also, please do realize that if you do find out who these characters reflect, you may get a glimpse of what's to come!

Thomas' POV

I was jolted awake by the speed of box. That, and something sharp that I had slept on. Not the best way to wake up.

Opening my eyes did very little to help me see anything. All I could put together was that I was somewhere pitch black flying upwards at a rapid speed. Fear coursed through me, as prominent as my blood. More than anything, I wanted to scream and cry, but I forced myself to try and assess my surroundings.

But worse than my dreary, scary environment; I couldn't remember a thing. Nothing. Zilch. Nada.

I could remember general things; how to eat, bike - my name. Thomas. But any family I might've had, my friends; they were gone. Like they never existed.

I have to get out, I think, my entire body numb.

I stumbled along, my hands in front of me to gauge where I was. I felt big and heavy crates, next to me, and constricting metal walls surrounding me. Suddenly the box stopped moving upwards, causing me to fall down. Unfortunately, I was unprepared and my head hit the metal floor and a box fell on top of me. I felt pain blossom but I forced it down as soon as I saw a whisper of light out of the corner of my eye.

"Shuckfaces! It's a girl!" A loud, booming voice cut through the crowd.

I raise an eyebrow. I might not remember much, but I know, at least, that I'm a guy.

As series of responses and jeers erupted around me.

"Let me see!"

"Ooooh...I call dibs!"

"Ew, what's that?"

"Shut up, shuckfaces!" The distinct voice of a leader cut through the crowd.

Abruptly, a silence fell across the area.

I groaned - why would they think I'm girl? I pushed the box off my face and that's when I realized what the box said on it.

"What the shuck?" The boys surrounding me questioned.

What a great first impression.

"Alright- slim it, klunkheads!" A boy who anyone could have singled out as a leader shouted.

I glare up at them.

Was this all some cruel joke? But why would I not be able to remember anything? People weren't that mean - were they?

The questions died down. The boy jumped into the box, making me flinch.

"Welcome to the glade, Greenie."  He stretches his hand in an effort to help me up.

I swatted it away; I may be scared out of my mind but I forced myself to appear confident. I jumped out of the box and immediately gasped. Surrounding me was an entire civilization. It had a lookout tower, huge buildings - the entire area took my breath away. But the main attraction was the enormous, towering walls enclosing the so-called Glade. The were easily 100 feet tall, with ivy climbing up most of them. I turned back around to face the boys that had greeted me. Most of them left, leaving only a select few.  Those that had remained were tentatively examining the boxes of 'new and exotic' material that had arrived. At first, I thought they needed these boxes but as I scanned the Glade, it dawned upon me that there were no girls around. This slightly concerned me.
